The fate of the world was put in your hands with the Glass Heroes vs. Villains Contest, where you were challenged to create an entirely new original character in the Glass story arc. As the contest unfolded, we were surprised to hear of so many with special abilities!
It was an awesome experience looking through all your submissions and, while it was very difficult for M. Night Shyamalan to narrow down his choices, he has decided on our eight winners!
These eight winners have been divided into two teams: heroes and villains. Both teams will go head-to-head in our Community Battle, where you'll get to decide the fate of the world!

Judges' Comments: I thought there was something about the humanity and emotion that drew me to this. That mirror where you barely see the person he's holding is really powerful. Judges' Comments: I think the composition and idea behind it are amazing, where it's someone who likes to hurt themselves with the chains embedded in their body. It's so dark, and it's so beautifully rendered. I also like how she's slightly to the side and how it's a frightening, provocative piece.

This idea that he can move really fast when it's dark is really interesting to me, and I really thought this image of all the different reflections [...] was beautiful and provocative.

Judges' Comments: The minimalism of this piece is so beautiful and primitive and powerful, and the choice of tools and style it used conveyed a certain power. It also felt historical, and I read into his gestures and command and lack of expression a lot.

Judges' Comments: This was more playful, with the light hitting her and having visions of things with her bewildered parents in the background [...] implied a youthful approach. It provoked me as a filmmaker how I can see and tell these stories by looking at the images.
