So, I had this commissioned a little over a month ago, procrastination got the better of me.
This took way longer than I am willing to admit
I fail at kimono anatomy. Even though I researched it quite a bit and looked at several references, I think I got it wrong D:
All flowers and fans were individually drawn by me. The sakura blossoms and grass were applied with custom brushes.
And the dragon on the katana, I got it from

And HOLYWHATTHECRAP-- A background? That's new. I tried my hand at realism and drew a little pagoda in the back.
Anyways, this was was quite a learning experience for me, and I enjoyed it XD
character(rei) belongs to Fullmetal(subeta), or jienyi
photoshop7, sai (just for facial blending, and lineart)

I Love the clothing folds, shading and coloring in the picture. I think the little pagoda in the background turned out nicely.
