And we begin with the beginning of all things... Jack and Jill, the first male and female hare that lived in the Garden of Eden way back in Biblical times.
(BTW, Jack and Jill are accepted terms for certain male and female animals, including hares - [link])

Is there a difference between rabbits and hares? I've seen the term "doe" and "buck" used to refer to rabbits, but maybe that's only for domesticated show rabbits.
