Description

This is my Evil Plan fan character. Does it count as a fan character if I help make the comic? I don't know. But yes I have one. YAY. She's actually in the the comic in a single panel so it counts as a real character? Shhh. Updated sheet.

The image on the far left is by an artist I commissioned at ACEN. I lost her card, but I kept her signature under the picture. If you know who it is, please let me know so I can link their DA account T.T

---

Kickback has the power to use any form of DNA, copy the owner's abilities and by clenching it in her right hand, she can use it for herself. She MUST keep the DNA in her hand or else she's unable to continue using the power. She generally uses hair or blood. She almost ALWAYS has her right fist clenched for the whole battle to be sure she doesn't lose the DNA.

As for fighting style, she fights cautiously and improvs. She carries two small containers on her belt that hold several hairs from a hero who has the power to fly, and a hero who has super strength. She will use these for situations she's unsure of and will do her best to save to hairs and reuse them.

She is a COWARD. She will fight if she must, but she's easily frightened and more likely to hide or escape if she can without penalty.

Tracy's Backstory:

Tracy lived a very normal life up until about 6 years of age, she lived in a third floor apartment with her parents. Her mother was an on-call doctor and her father worked the night shift as a security guard. She was not often left alone but after her mom got a call and while both parents were gone, a fire started in the 2nd floor of the apartment building. Being a heavy sleeper, the fire alarms woke her only after the fire had started to spread.

Panicked and desperately searching for her parents, she finally tried to open the front door to leave. As she was right-handed, she reached out with her right hand. The fire had heated the door handle and as she gripped it her right palm was severely burned, killing the nerves in her hand. After this she cried and began to see flames burning under the door.

She ran from the fire into her bedroom and hid inside the closet, crying and screaming. Firefighters rescued her from the building but she never could forget the heat, the pain and the fear that she felt that night. Her intense fear of fire persists to this day. Doctors, including her mother, preformed an experimental procedure in an attempt to repair the damaged nerves on her right palm.

Tracy was a very withdrawn and quiet girl, very reluctant to step up, speak out, or stand out in anyway. All her life she saw powerful super heroes on the news and she dreamed secretly of being able to save lives like them. Once, at age 15, she was actually a witness to a battle between a hero and a villian's minions robbing a bank (link: evilplan.thewebcomic.com/comic… ). She saw a hair fall from the hero’s head and upon picking it up in her right hand, she felt a strange power fill her. She dropped it at once. The power was gone. She lifted up the hair again and felt it again.

The hero had the power to lift heavy objects with his mind, and when she held the hair in her right hand, she found she also had that power. After that she tested various times to see the lengths of her powers. With experimentation she found that holding DNA in her right hand allowed her to mimic the powers of the source. She found it worked best with hair or blood and at age 17 she finally tried to become a sidekick for a hero.

Unfortunately, she was stuck sidekicking for the most notoriously dangerous hero. Nicknamed Collateral Damage Man, his power, along with strength and wealth, was that all around him, random objects would explode. This power was not within his control, sometimes destroying buildings, or innocent civilians, or his sidekicks. Collateral Damage Man was notorious for racking up more property damage than the situation would have caused in the first place. Many people, including other heroes, wanted him dead, just to insure the safety of innocents. Being the very uneasy sort, and not wanting to die, she agreed to take part in a plot to kill him.

The group was formed of heroes disguised as villains who considered it their duty to rid the world of such a destructive man, and they succeeded in their plot. Tracy was key in the plot as she knew the location of Collateral Damage Man’s base of operations and she distracted him just before he was shot by another member of the group.

Overcome with guilt and even more fear, she permanently discarded her sidekick "hero" persona, "Boomerang", for her villain costume and name, "Kickback". She began to do very little as far as helping others and mostly lived a normal life. She still longs for the courage to throw herself into saving people, but still is unable to make any decisive moves.

She idolizes the purehearted hero, Amazing Man, who she saw in the bank in her tiny city of Urbane and follows his career closely, you might call her a fangirl. A huge fangirl.

Why is this popping up in my messages now of all times? :P Oh well, I love Tracy/Kickback anyhow.

One quibble, though, and it IS nitpicky: Looking at her stats, she's listed as being 5'5" and 150 lbs. That's fine, but it's right on the high end of a "healthy" bodyweight for someone of that height. If she's supposed to be thin and scrawny-looking (especially at age 20, when scrawny can still mean like NO BODY FAT EVER), then she'd be more likely to be somewhere between 100-120 lbs.

Uh... did I tell you this at some point already? If this ended up being one of our 3 AM conversations, then please ignore this entire comment and just know that I smile every time I see this character. :)
