Another one I wrote for a screenwriting class. I actually have two versions, one with the old man and one without.

The inspiration for this one came from an old film... I think it was called First Men in the Moon. The move had an international team of astronauts travel to the Moon and when they got there they discovered that aliens lived there.

A few notes about this:

First off, once the scene changes to the moon the film becomes silent. The reason for this is because I originally used this idea for a short scene for my Play Directign class. There was one stipulation for the scene, and that was it had to be silent and the silence had to be natural. So, since sound cannot travel in space the moon was a suitable setting.

The astronauts also can't communicate by radio because they are from different countries, and the radios wouldn't be compatible.

The music playing helps to convey emotins and set the tone for certain parts. IT is supposed to work like the music in old silent films.
