Description
A guy with a great mind until, in the mid '90s, he was set upon by a gang with scaffold poles. He was so badly beaten up, a fractured scull, in 3 places, 5 ribs, pelvis & leg fractures and left for dead, that after major life-saving surgery he spent 6 months in Intensive Care.
I used to have amazing conversations with him about the environment, land use & CC/GW, now, it's lucky to get a sentence out of him that is coherent

I'm trying to think of something comforting to say that hasn't already been said but really...what can I say? Such a horrible thing to happen! As I was reading the description of his injuries, I was thinking it is a wonder he even survived it. But we were made to live and the resiliency that is in the human body is amazing. Continue to be proud of your friend! You remember his life, what he can no longer remember, for him. And in the meantime, you've created new memories to cherish. For obviously this man is dear to you and has a matchless worth. And what an interesting person to photograph!
