Description

My scanner's not working so I took this with my digital camera.
I'm sorry the quality kinda sucks.

So, I decided I wanted to try my hand at a more actiony pose. Link always ensues.

I spent many hours on the pose itself. I can't tell you how many times I erased the sword and sheild to get the angles perfect. I'm sure they could still use some work.

There are a couple spots I'm diappointed with, mainly the foot in the air and the wrinkles on his left shoulder. And the belt for his sheath. No biggie. I can always redo it.

The shading started with a small area under his arm pit that I did for the hell of it. It evolved into midtone shading. My friend told me about the idea of "absolute black and absolute white". A shading monster was born.

I actually really enjoyed shading this piece now that I understand shading and lighting better.

I also wanted to mention that I tried to combine Link from OoT and TP. I don't think it worked too well. I have a lot of TP influence.

When I get my scanner working, I'll scan it and resubmit it.
