Description

EDIT: Made the BG solid..

Well I crossed the river
Fell into the sea
Where the non-believers
Go beyond belief

Then I scratched the surface
In the mouth of hell
Running out of service
In the blood I fell

Well I, I just want to see the light
And I, I don't want to lose my sight
Well I, I just want to see the light
And I need to know what's worth the fight

OH MY. This was long. Like... really long. Buuut, for once, I'm actually.. kind of pleased. :meow:

Soooo... meester cuddlebumpkin is all grown up. I love him so.
I know some of you were wondering if the mask would ever come off, and now that he's fully blind and the pain has subsided (hence, no more need for the mask), his handsome face is unveiled! x) TA-DA. Handsome, yes?

Gazelle has actually been in the making for many, many months now, if not a year, lol.
I decided to work a bit on the pair's stats more, instead of writing a sidestory. 'Cause I'm a lazy bum like that. D:

:bulletblue: Registered Name: DD See The Light
Barn Name: Seer
Gender: Stallion
D.O.B.: 05/26/2004
Breed: Hanoverian
Bloodline: ALS Song of the Century x DD Emmeline
Phenotype: Dark bay with light dapples (the dapples became invisible amidst the shading and lighting. x.x Just know they're supposed to be there, lol) and highlights/lowlights. Crooked, unique stripe with LH ermine spots, and fore socks.
Eyes: Cloudy white (blind) with no discernable iris or pupil.
Genotype: EE/Aa
Height: A hair below 16.0hh
Body: Very well proportioned and correct, has a fairly compact body, a little on the smallish side. He's sportier and more refined than the big-boned, heavy warmblood types. He has a nice, muscular, flexible neck, very handsome, defined, longish face, beautifully sloping shoulders paired with a broad, deep chest, long, elegant yet sturdy limbs, powerful hindquarters with lots of natural impulsion, very hard and well-conformed hooves, an excellent topline, and he always has an alert, curious expression on his face.
Breeder/owner/trainer: =Hazel-rah of Double Dance.
Discipline(s): Dressage
Temperament: In one word, trusting. Never has a 'sour' off-day. He's incredibly willing, bold, brave and ridiculously intelligent. He learns things faster than most horses, even with his disability, and excels wonderfully at whatever he does. He's amazingly attached to Gazelle, but finds company in most horses (especially Chester), and a few humans he knows well and trusts, particularly Margo Griffith, his caretaker/rider. He also has exceptional hearing, touch and smell, since he utilizes these senses more often than not. He recognized people mainly by scent, and there are a few various bell chimes he knows well. The bell for Gazelle is the same as the one we used on Emy when Seer was a foal, and there's a different sounding bell for his best bud/paddock pal, Chester. In general, he's a super calm, respectful, easy-going and cheery stud. He's extremely close to Margo, and puts all of his trust in her. He would gladly take her to the ends of the earth if she'd ask him to. He also tends to cock his head to one side or the other, a lot.
History: Was born with a non-congenital/idiopathic birth defect which, coupled with an early infection at birth, turned to worse, when we attempted to heal it but he became allergic to the antibiotics. His eyesight quickly degenerated into an acutely painful sightlessness. After a few months, even with extensive veterinary care and daily treatment, the pain may have subsided entirely, but so did the remainder of his sight. So, he then simply became totally blind. Nevertheless, he's an amazing animal, and he has boundless talent. It's just a shame that we won't be permitted to enter him in high level events, obviously (if anything, he'll do clinics, instead.) Yet, we're training him in dressage, and he's just awesome. He loves to lunge, probably because he finds a lot of security and ease in it, and we in fact lunge him once a day. Under saddle, he's very sensitive and outstandingly in-tune with his rider's aids and voice. His personal rider/trainer, Margo Griffith, has been with him since Day 1, making sure he learned certain verbal/tactile cues, and she has also accustomed him to various things over the years. He now knows his paddock fairly well, and will gallop far away from any fences (but, just in case, we built a special paddock for him, with smooth, flexible fences that can bend and give, a little.) We've conditioned him to understand that "ho" means a sudden and complete standstill, not just ‘slow down’, so he's quite safe, too. He's Margo's "baby". =P

:bulletblue: Registered Name: DD Gazelle
Barn Name: Tom; That Stupid Goat; Scruffy Turd
Gender: Buck
D.O.B.: 08/14/2004
Breed: Spanish Goat (purebred, imported from Spain)
Sire & Dam: Foundation
Phenotype: San Clemente markings on a caramel-ish/buckskin base, with white markings (face, tail, sides.)
Eyes: Golden
Height: 28"
Body: Structurally, his conformation is very sound, and he's well built. Masculine, fairly big-boned, somewhat stocky, relatively muscular and agile.
Temperament: He's a goat. So, devious, obviously. Thoroughly enjoys getting into as much trouble and mischief as he possibly can. He often hops on Seer's back and tries to jump down on the other side of the fence/stall door, where he can wreak havoc on the farm grounds, pooing everywhere, mounting the farm dogs, running away from handlers, and bleating as loud as he can. Has been threatened to be shot or put on a dinner plate more times than we can count.
History: When a few members of the DD staff went to Spain to check out some new stock to import to our lines (particularly foundation Menorquins and Andalusians), Jacobi spotted a young, malnourished, wounded, ill and pretty gross looking animal he called a goat at a marketplace near our hotel. Much to everyone's reluctance and disgust, Jacobi convinced everyone to bring the creature back to DD stables. When he first arrived, we didn't know what to do with him, so we decided to introduce him to Seer, who was then being weaned from mum. We had intended on getting Chester to become Seer's new paddock pal (which he did), but we figured two buddies would be better than one, lol. So, he now "helps" (aka, is a nuisance to) Seer, to find his way around, and accompanies him to shows when it's too much of a hassle to haul Chester with him. He also sometimes sires a few kids, and in general, spends his days confusing Seer and trimming the weeds from the paddock, which is fine by us. Chester doesn't particularly like Gazelle, but puts up with him because he's patient like that, and knows Seer enjoys his company.
Owner: =Hazel-rah of Double Dance.
Offspring: N/A
Availability: Currently unavailable for private covers (I don't think I could/should breed goats in the HARPG, so he'll be considered a non-HARPG character, evidently. :XD: Y'know, since it is called the HorseArt-RPG, after all.)
