painting grass tutorial

my friend wanted to know how i painted grass that could actually look like it was part of a piece without my help so here you go.

if you don't like the way i draw grass, then lol find another tutorial. this is just my personal method that works very well with my style and maybe you could develop your own way of painting it by reading through this.

i tried not to make it text heavy, and hopefully it's understandable.
program used was SAI Painter but you could probably apply this with anything, and yes, this includes MSPaint.
