1. What are BJDs?

BJDs, ABJDs or Asian Ball Jointed Dolls are dolls sculpted and sold by companies in Japan, Korea and China. They're typically made of resin, strung with elastic and have, as the name suggests, ball based joints. They're highly customisable, which is the main draw for a lot of people.

They come in a variety of sizes but the most common are:
• SD (super dollfie) which are around 60cm tall
• MSD (mini super dollfie) which are around 45cm
• Tinys which can be anywhere between 15 and 30cm tall
• and 70cm+ (the tallest at the minute being 90cm)

When you buy the dolls they'll typically come fully assembled but naked, bald and blank. Most companies offer a 'face up' service, meaning they'll paint the dolls make up for you but a lot of owners prefer to do that themselves.
There are some dolls, known as full sets or limiteds that will come with face ups, outfits, wigs and accessories, these tend to be the exception rather than the rule though and the price usually reflects this. _{[with kind permission taken from =Dieux-Faux's FAQ]}

3. Why is it always saying ''sold out'' for the item I want to purchase?

Migidoll only produces a limited amount of heads which are sold in a certain periode of time that is announced on their website.
We keep you updated about upcoming selling periods. Watch out for new blog entries over at MigidollLovers.

5. Can I purchase a Migidoll head with the original face-up that is shown on the website?

Yes. There is a make-up/no make-up option right next to the picture of the item you've chosen. It costs $60 and is a bit expensive in my opinion. You can get much cheaper prizes from make-up artists and they will do a customzied face-up. Best place to look for talented artists would be Den of Angels


6. Where can I get a body for my Migidoll head?

As of February 2010 Migidoll is also selling boy bodies! So you no longer have to spend endless hours searching for the right resin match!

7. What are the measurements of the Migidoll SD body?

8. How do I order a Migidoll?

First you can try to order a head through group orders (the best site for that would be Den of Angels, you can find the link at the top). The advantage in group orders is that you're able to save money, because you can share the shipping costs with other people.

If you want to buy a head yourself, simply put the product you want on your shopping cart and order it.


9. How much are the shipping costs?

Migidoll uses EMS and EMS Premium. Shipping fee of EMS depends on weight and distance, and EMS Premium needs to be calculated by box volume on top of that. So the shipping fee can differ from order to order.

10. How about the payment?

Migidoll only accepts paypal eCheck as payment.


11. How can I contact Migi?

12. What is a A or B type?/ To which body does my A or B type MD head fit? (relevant for heads bought before February 2010)

A and B type are different skin types which is important when you're going to chose a appropriate body for your head. For resin matches please see:

13. What is the 'Surprise Board' on Migi's website?

On the surprise board Migi is occasionally selling different heads outside the usual order periods. If you want to get a head quick look for the sellings on the surprise board.


14. What are Migidoll's layaway terms?

- up to three times of installments which have to be completed within three months
- inform Migidoll about your payment plan when placing your order
- if your payment delays inform Migidoll beforehand or your order will be automatically canceled and the payment already made will not be returned!
- limited editions cannot be purchased by layaway
- the minimum amount of payment is not fixed, you can divide the total price of your order evenly according to your payment schedule.
