Here is an idea that has been too long in the making. As anyone who has looked through my gallery has seen, I like to put my own spin on currently existing franchises and this one is based off of Pokemon.
I heard way back when that someone thought that Ruby and Sapphire were going to have a change in the Starters. Instead of Fire/Grass/Water that any fan has grown used to, there would be Fighting/Dark/Psychic Starters. I absolutely loved the challenge behind that and so here's my idea for a Dark Starter.
The basic idea I had was originally to make some form of a Cerebrus. I like the idea of a fox/dog/hairy mammal to work off of and ended up with a golden fox/dog with a unique color palette.
As for the names:
Puplack- Comes from Pup (young dog) and black
Thyliark- Comes from Thylacine (Tasm. Wolf) and dark
Cerberusk- Comes from cerberus and dusk
All in all, I hope you all enjoy and would appreciate any feedback!

No offense, but I don't really like the idea of Fighting Psychic and Dark starters, for these reasons, and why the Grass, Fire, Water, one is still best.
-The Resistant to the other circle is always a "Not Very Effective" resistance, but never a "Uneffective" resistance. Psychic Type attacks are completely ineffective against Dark Types, and aren't just "Not Very Effective," so it wouldn't work. Also, it would make things way too hard with your rival, since the Rival always chooses the one that yours is weak too, so you'd be much less likely to beat the rival if you choose the Psychic Starter.
-Psychic Types are among some of the "Really Hardcore and Strong" types that shouldn't be gotten this easily and are rather rare. Psychic is one of those "special" types along with Ghost, Steel, Dragon, and Fairy. It would not be very balanced for the rest of things to get a Psychic type that easily and quickly. That's the same reason there are no Dragon or Ghost type starters.
