Shiny DeviantART Logo Button

This is my first ever button. I never use layer masks in anything, but following this tutorial "Web Button Making" by =easydisplayname I might just have to start. I pretty much followed step by step with a few minor adjustments for shape, highlight color and I added a shine layer to make it look uber.

I wanted to make a button for my on use on other websites, etc to easily point people to my DA. And couldn't quite find what I wanted. Something akin to a Social button.

I took a screen of the loading DA image as my base. I am pleased with the results. I may have to do more buttonmaking in the future! XD

The shine was done as a white circle with gradient mask to fade the top. Then set to the same blending options as the highlight line on the bottom (see tutorial) and set layer to Overlay and opacity to 75%. Insta-shine!
