Superstition Sojourn 2

...since I got shut out last time (the light), return was inevitable, as the conditions were near perfect. I will explain

monsoon has been cranking

ocotillos are leafed (this is big), desert is green

the bluff is high enough to get light at the same time as the mountain.

perfect time of year; that is to say the sun is setting almost, but not quite, directly behind me. My own shadow JUST barely not a problem. This opens up the possibility of a rainbow at sunset

In all, this is a spot where I thought something really special could happen.

This is the 2nd time I've returned after finding the original Superstition Sojourn. The first time I returned I got shut out by a monster rainstorm that caused major flooding. Yes, too much monsoon is possible. I barely got out of there in the car. Then the monsoon weakened for a few days. I went again last night.

this is that....now, I'm still not certain that this is that something special to which I was alluding previously.
