Description
This is my second Tyranid Tyrannofex conversion, based on a Carnifex. This one has some differences, compared to my first attempt. To start off with, I've put it on an oval base that's used for the Trygon or Mawloc. The limbs are two pairs of scything talons and normal Carnifex legs. The rupture cannon, however, is made of two stranglethorn cannons glued together, fitted to below the creature's chest and green stuff was used to fill in some gaps.
This uses the Hive Fleet Gigil colour scheme - Orkhide Shade/ Knarloc Green for the body and Liche Purple for the carapace bits.

I do like the green/ purple colour scheme and I would probably agree that I could have gone further in the painting but I think I'll be able to go further with the painting, as I've expanded my paint set in that area, including purple wash, intermediate colours and 'drybrush' colours from the new GW 2012 paint set. Also, that model was one I made up not long after I re-started with Tyranids. Since then, I've bought one of the proper Tyrannofex models and painted it red/ green and it looks quite a bit bigger than this model.
