Salvation Army? Stamp

Because I refuse to donate to an organization that would refuse to give me, or so many of my friends, help if we were homeless, because we're queer.

I'm not saying don't donate to charity-- I wholeheartedly support donation.
I'm just saying: find another charity in your area. One that doesn't refuse to help gays.

And mind you this: the Salvation Army is an evangelical religious organization who focus on charity work-- not a charity in and of themselves. They don't technically have to do what goes against their religion...
And we don't have to give to them, because what they're doing is hurting real people, and turning people away who need help.

Donate -- I implore you, donate to somewhere -- but don't put your money into their little red tins anymore. Give to a charity that will help LGBTQA people. We may be the minority, but there are still lots of queer folks on the streets, and if one of the biggest "charities" around won't help...

Don't stop at not giving your money to the Salvation Army, as the money does no-one any good if it's not being used. Give it to another charity, one that doesn't turn people away for their love lives.
