Physical Description: 5 foot 3 inches tall, weight of 130 pounds, auburn hair color or 'rust' color, lime green eyes, ears pierced (where you find a second piercings).

Family: Alten's mother is Sally 'Sal' Swansea, reporter for the Daily Prophet. Alten's Father is Ryan Swansea and studies Dragons in Russia (but location is never certain). Alten have two older brothers, Tristan, 20, and Jenks, 23, both of which work with the Ministry in the Department of Mystery.

Alten, was an accident, his parents wanted to continue on with their careers, not have another kid. So when he was born, he wasn't put into daycare but in the office at the Prophet. He constantly got into trouble for catching note airplanes and chewing them, interrupting meetings, and was distracting to other reporters and editors. When he started school, he had no interest in them, he was easily distracted by other things, the only thing that catches his eye are creatures and dragons. Unlike his brothers, Alten didn't see his dad that much (for Alten's dad took the job in Russia shortly after his birth) so whenever his dad came home was well on the edge of his seat, he listened to every word his father said about dragons. When he was a bit older he traveled with his brothers to spend summers in Russia studying and playing with new born dragons.
When he received his letter to Hogwarts, his family was pleased and excited, having the expectation of following the majority of the family by being placed in Ravenclaw. When he was placed in Gryffindor, his father was happy, his mother was puzzled, and his brothers laughed. A majority of his school supply (beside his clothes) were hand-downs from his brothers. His brothers has charmed a majority of his textbooks, anywhere from having a beard appear on his face to hands being dyed purple. His hair is actually full of volume and curls, on his first day at school his brother sent him a letter, which was charmed turning his hair that way, he is really embarrassed of it and wears it up in a ponytail while he tries to figure out how to fix it.

Personality:
-He is brutally honest, he doesn't mean to be though. His mother tells him "Lies make life exciting! But no one will get sick of the truth." So he doesn't enjoy lying, he tells it how it is, but he will bite his tongue...about 5% of the time.
-He is naturally curious about pretty much everything, he doesn't really believe in the whole "Keep Out" areas, and see those really as just warnings for others.
-He HATES to be surprised, he has near heart-attacks when someone even sneezes behind him.
-Alten is brave either that or just plain stupid. He has a thing for going all out or not doing it at all. Whether it is having a stare down with a dragon or flying a broomstick with no hands, he'll try anything once.
-Alten is kind of gullible, if it comes from an upper class-man or from his brother, he'll believe it with out doubt.
- He doesn't like thinking that people depend on people, he has a fear of letting people down, and seeing them cry, it makes him feel awkward.
-He has a major love for dragons and everything mythical creature wise and only shows real interest when that is brought up. (he still hasn't discovered girls).
-He's also a prankster, he likes seeing people in weird situations...and creating them. He mostly does this though with his brothers.
-He continues to be bored by school, and falls asleep in class quite a bit for staying up all night.

Other:
-14 inch Rosewood Demiguis hair wand.
-owns a firebolt that was his father's, then brother's, then brother's, broom. He does enjoy flying but never would dream about trying out next year.
-Has an old owl by the name of Pinhead that is going blind and easily drops packages.
-Wishes to become an Animagus SOOO badly its not even funny, kind of sad.
-his closet friend at the school is Piper ('s character)
