A totoro christmas card i designed. Free for use by whoever wants to add alittle more Miyazaki to there celebration (but ya know, no selling or passing it off as your own or i will need to hunt you down and kheel you).
Just a simple sketch (that i didn't expect to turn out this awesomely) digitally colored really quick cuz i kept procrastinating. It's one of thouse things where the coloring sucked right up until i did final touches. I added the snow last second (helps tie everything together so well!) and made it dark so it could be a more realistic night scene. here's a brighter version [link] but really, i like this one so much better

Technique ImpactA wonderful thing about Christmas is ANYTHING can happen. And you, the artist, have done it. Hardly to see another pic about the combination between Totoro and Christmas. Christmas is one of the most wonderful time in the year (after Tet in my country <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt="
" title=" (Big Grin)"/>). I just can't understand Totoro's smile. Is that the smile of happiness, or just something else? Confuse. Ahh, the soot at the top of the tree. I can hardly to recognize that. Ok, now, the rate. 5 for the vision cuz I like christmas (so weird) and u did that. 5 for originality cuz u drawed Totoro that is very creative (the smile!). But 4 for technique, cuz I think u miss 2 more important people (guess who?) and 4.5 for impact cuz...it's cold here! This pic makes me feel colder!!!!
