Druids are the Keepers of Elyryn. They believe in the life-giving force of nature. However, they also respect the cycle of nature: life and death are viewed as equal. A well-minded and kind people, they are extremely observant and receptive to their surroundings. During life, they strive to protect nature, and preserve its inhabitants and beauty. Death only completes the cycle of nature and therefore does not bring an end as much as a new beginning. The spirits of his followers are said to take new form in Ithan'Teir, the plane of Earth, where they continue their roles as guardians of nature. Those of prestige and honor will be appropriately rewarded upon ascension.

Druid - Druids are the guardians of nature. In order to protect the realms of their Father, they learn the ways of nature. It is their job to watch over such places and their inhabitants to protect them from those with ill will. However, Druids are just as sensitive to their sense of duty as the flow time and realize that both move forward, sometimes without reason. Just as nature maintains a gentle balance, their magical talents mirror this with a range from healing, defensive magic to spells of  destruction. To aid in their roles as guardians, they developed  Vie'Thulen, a type of summoning that is unique in that it occurs in two parts. Prior to Vie'Thulen, one must complete Caima'Syci.

Symbol - The symbol of the Druid was created by the Erutan’Faele, children of the god of Nature and Growth, Elyryn. The design was based off the silhouette of the Sidherl plant, commonly found in many groves throughout Erandur. It was chosen because of its ability to thrive in many different environments and seasons. In addition to that, the shape of the blossoms, three leaves on each side, with the bulb in the center was thought to mimic their own relationship with the world. There is balance everywhere in nature, and while each side has 3 fronds, they do not grow to equal length. The central bulb is representative of sentient life, which rests constantly surrounded by and in the palm of Nature’s hand.

Caima'Syci ~ This is the first part of the Druid's summoning. First, they must prepare an offering for the type of animal they wish to entreat. Then the ritual begins and a magical symbol is evoked in order to beckon said animal to the Druid's circle. This is often done through linking powers with other druids as a means to increase the range of the spell. If successful, the animal will come forth. Culture, environment and power, all play important roles in the process and many study a great deal before attempting Caima'Syci.

Vie'Thulen ~ Once Caima'Syci has been completed the druid is able to summon that companion in any environment suitable for it. For this reason it is wise to choose one that is highly adaptable. The druid's summon is unique in that the same creature is summoned until it or the summoner dies. As time passes the bond created between the two can become a powerful advantage. Also, it is one of the only summoning spells that only involves the mortal realm. If the animal should died, Caima'Syci may be attempted again.

This scroll, written by Sage Ianda Kinstorm, introduces us to the Guild of Druids, those who worship Elyryn, the God of nature and growth. They are one of many guilds in my fantasy realm, Erandur. It is a long work in progress, but putting things up gives me more motivation to create so there it is! Hope you enjoy!
