Eclipsing the Light

“I’m frightened…” she whispered to the soul while it slept, “Your darkness is hurting me… And I don’t want to perish… Please wake up… Come back to me… ” she continued, her eyes filling with tears. Silence filled the room as she moved even closer to the sleeping soul, feeling the knot within her heart get tighter as the darkness pulled upon her very essence. Trembling, she lowered herself, her lips barely touching his own. “Even if I was aware of this pain prior to my fall… I would have still descended the Heavens for you… And I shall await, as darkness consumes me, in hope that you will once again awaken…”
