------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This picture shows my daughter with three of the very few things that I have left from my childhood, that I cherish from that time of my life:

:bulletyellow:My stuffed monkey named "Sammy", that I got when I was about 7 (he's about 34 years old). Sammy was always one of my main favorite stuffed toys. That monkey is loaded with hugs, and tears of happiness and sadness that I shared with him.

:bulletred: A Childcraft book (circa- Approx. 1954) that my mom recently gave me, that was a gift from her mother. My grandmother gave my mom and one of her brothers a collection of Childcraft books that they had when they were little. I grew up reading these books.

:bulletpurple: A music book called "This is Music 5" (circa- 1967. It's the book laying on the ground to the left of my daughter in the picture) that my mom bought second hand when I was about 8 or 9 (I'm 40 now). My mom and I used to sing a lot of songs together from this book, and I would sing them alone in my bedroom sometimes. I have since taught some of the songs to my daughter, and she likes to look at it on her own sometimes.

This photo makes a excellent use of light and shadow. While the child is in the shadow. There is still enough light to show the face, toes, monkey and books. The angle of the shot is well placed. The angle gives us a great view of both of the books. We also get a look at the face of both child and monkey. The monkey paw poking out of the side of the book as it is being held in the girls arm is a nice touch. As is the dirt on the bottom of the feet. It gives you the impression of her walking out to the tree from home barefoot. Overall, A great picture.
