Slime Girl Biology

Description

Hear is the biology of my Slime girls. This also applies to normal Slimes and Gel Girls.

Outer Membrane (Skin): Provides sense of touch, smell, and protection from foreign substances. This part of a Slime's body also controls it's pigment, and texture abilities when they become Prismatic. Like human skin it is warm and smooth to the touch, and not slimy despite their name being Slimes.

Inner Membrane: A thick, Soft, and Squishy layer that gives the Slime it's jiggly appearance and consistency. This layer is clear, witch is why it looks lighter. It allows some shock absorption.

Internal Frame: A Semi solid and vary dense slime that gives the body form and structure. This is also where the food and drink are digested and absorbed, air is processed, and all brain activity is done. The frame is also what determines the shape of the Slime when using 'Shape Change'. Slimes can not digest live material or objects that are too hard.

Eyes: A Slime's eyes are a collection of all the body's optic cells. When they are all spread out in the body the Slime can still see, but not as clearly.

Mouth: The mouth of a Slime is an opening that forms on the Outer Membrane and connects directly to the Internal Frame. A Slime's mouth can chew to make food taste better and digest easier.

Hmm... I think there would be different species of slimes. Some would perform cognitive function through a small internal nucleic organ, ans some others wouldn't think at all, but act on instinct alone.

Well thought out, I actually have some characters of my own that follow similar guidelines and will be posting pics some time in the future.
