Job Description:
Myrtle, as a blacksmith, collects materials, smelts, repairs and designs many items from kitchenware to parts for other tradesmen (raw watch materials for a watchmaker, iron gates and railings for homes, etc.). She's more commonly known to create tools such as wrenches and little trinkets that are vital for repairs. It was only recently that she began developing armor and shields, but her designs can get… quite unusual when she gets right into it and do not always work; though, she believes it's good practice for a young smith.

Expertise:
Repairs - If Myrtle is amazing at anything, it would be repairs. Appliances that dented, blades that bent and break, armor with a hole in it, a curved gun barrel, she can fix it as long as it's repairing metals and putting nuts and bolts here and there.

Weapon Description:
"Neta" - Neta is her jumbo wrench, a parting gift from her old friend who she named it after, which she commonly carries at her waist. It's… not really a weapon as it's rarely used in means of combat, but being potentially hammered, smacked, or thwacked by a wrench that size to the head can be painful. Myrtle uses her Neta more for fixing materials and plucking metals apart if they tend to be difficult with her. But that doesn't stop her from using it when she needs to find a way to survive and escape.

Accessories:
:pointr: Leg bag and corset pocket - used to carry hammers and other tools while working, used for stashing and stuffing away materials while collecting, and can be used pretty much to carry anything that'll fit.

:pointr: Blue leather gloves and corset - to keep metal debris and sparks from burning a hole through her shirt while she works. The gloves are wrapped around the wrist with white belts.
Now hired as a private blacksmith to the Viacci Baroness Tara Golding, she was given the gift of dyed leather, as "bought" from Rook Donovich, which was tailored into a similar light leather corset as her previous set.
:pointr: Blue feather hair tie - a simple blue feather hair tie to keep her hair back and out of work. Myrtle likes the ruffling noises the feathers make when they flutter in the breeze. It's rather calming.

Personality:

Background:
Myrtle Andreson, as a child, was a strange one. She rarely spoke and was extremely shy but ran at her own pace. Born and raised within a middle-class family in the coastal city of Viacci, one would think that she would grow up to be less physical and more to be a quiet librarian as both her parents were professors while her older brother Nathan, five years older than her, was an aspiring watchmaker. But her choice to become a blacksmith actually stemmed from her adventuring. Myrtle, for one, was never a girl who could sit still for even a minute and had a tendency to sneak out of her house when she should be doing chores. The child would travel to buildings under construction to watch the carpenters, masons, and smiths carry their business. The one instance that inspired her to become a smith though struck when a smith brought his hammer down unto the heated steel and resounded in a fascinating clank which rang beautifully in the youth's ears (though the smith was fired for having broken a valuable tool with that strike).

Since then, Myrtle strove and struggled to become an amazing smith, disregarding her parents' disagreements and disliking to her wish. She endured the schooling and apprenticeship of a considerably strict teacher and even met her first friend and customer, Neta, while apprenticing. Unfortunately a few months into their friendship, Neta caused a bit of an accident in the workplace which resulted in 2nd degree burns to Myrtle's left arm. Scars are left presently, but her friend took the fault seriously and personally, disappearing and leaving Myrtle alone for the years to follow. The young blacksmith though had long forgiven him for his mistake.

Presently, Myrtle is an official blacksmith, a few years out of apprenticeship and well on her way. She currently is a traveling smith, freelancing and spotting forges and positions with local smiths to smelt and weld. But why traveling and not a stationed smith? Myrtle supports the Rebellion and feels that being a blacksmith-on-the-move would help keep weapons sharp and armors tough. It earns her less money since she pays a percentage to use someone's forge, but it's all for the better. She might meet a certain someone as well, but that's the least of her concerns.

Purpose:
Her support in the Rebellion is due to the fact that she desires change. As she's of a struggling working class, a change in the employment / class system would be nice to ensure the welfare of laborers like her as well as better wages. That and working under the present laws, as she sees it, would soon leave her future at a roadblock, considering that she can't make enough money to buy more expensive materials to weld. Her reasons may be selfish and simple, but the girl's got a life to live.

Hobby:
Storytelling - Whether the stories are true or not, made up on the spot or written by another, Myrtle has a knack for sharing tales while she works, around a fire, or over a pleasant dinner. It's nothing impressive like her smithing (which she smiths more than she weaves tales), but she seems to be more immersed in the idea of her fantasies when she speaks in that manner.

Relationships:
:pointr: Nathan Andreson (Nate) - older brother and watchmaker in Viacci. The two siblings send letters from and to each other and Myrtle respects him dearly. But the two are also quite opposite. Myrtle is loud and happy. Nathan is quiet and cold. While Myrtle seeks change from the outside, Nathan seeks stability from the inside. They'll never see eye to eye due to the differences but still care for one another.

:pointr: Neta von Rolohan (Net) - Having found him, the two have began to reconnect and be friends once more, though Neta reminds Myrtle that she must keep their friendship a secret from other nobles. (updated: Jun 21 11)

:pointr: Ethan Thomas Montgomery (Snarky McSnarkSnark) - not quite friends; not quite enemies. The two of them are merely allies of a common interest. Unfortunately, Ethan's an ass and bullies Myrtle when given the chance while she, in return, kicks said ass in an act of divine justice. Myrtle finds some fun in it, but her pride will keep her shut as she interacts with him at arms' length (or hug him just to irritate the hell out of him).

:pointr: Baroness Tara Golding of Viacci (Tarara) - employer and the second friend (besides Neta) that she made. From Myrtle's initial meeting of the baroness, the woman is a business woman and very talented at it. But after spending some time with the girl, Myrtle sees her as that noble older sister that she never had and appreciates her as much as she does her older brother. Tara is also the one responsible for helping her find the missing Neta after word-of-mouth expressed a noble by the name of Neta appearing.

:pointr: Rook Donovahn(Rookie/Rookster/etc.) - He's just... that black market trader who can be a stick in the mud. But he's a good stick in the mud with just a bigger stick to wave around and smack her with while she calls him bitter. Good man; corrupted and greedy soul.

:pointr: Delilah Byron (Deli) - First impressions is important as they say and Myrtle still has this smidgeon of a fear of Delilah due to the fact that the blacksmith was at the wrong end of the stick. Or in her case, the sword. But after their first meeting, Myrtle has grown a little fond of Deli. She's like a child somehow, not knowing anything outside of what she does best.... killing.

:pointr: Count Grey Nightroad (Grey-daddy) - At first, a peculiar man. Knowing him more, he's evermore peculiar but not that far off from how she's normally treated. Grey is like a father/brother figure to her but only because the man oddly dotes on her like a daughter. She doesn't mind it. It was strange at first. But now, it's funny and comforting.

:pointr: ??? - a friendly dockworker who she became quick friends with because he reminded her of a big bear. She likes hanging off his muscles.

:pointr: Little Fi - her "niece". Myrtle adores the little koala and often enjoys taking her out for an adventure when her parents aren't looking. Is this kidnapping?

:pointr: Any Inanimate Object, Especially Metalworks, and Critters - they are awesome. 'Nuff said.

Loving the colour combinations and her accessories, I feel like she got richer and could afford more accessories since her last update lol >D
