Loirin and Bunny First Blossom

Completed on 09/09/2010 (four and a half years after the other inked Liorin) I revisited the Liorin. He's an olden character of mine from many years ago: a cross between a lion and a kirin (oriental unicorn).

This piece started out as an inked "sketch" that was about the size of a postage stamp (one inch by one inch). I scanned it and then toned it in Photoshop. I wanted to make something sweet for my grandmothers that was cuddly and fantasy-ish, and I liked the idea of there being a touch of a story (that the Liorin and the bunny are watching the first blossom of Spring).

It's nothing fancy, but I hoped they will like it. (The anatomy suffered for the rushed job, I will admit).
