You got guts all over my desk

I searched paper children on dA earlier just to see what I'm up against find ways to improve, and holy smokes are people mean to them! Always tugging on them and stealing their items! (she says as Connor is yanked in half).

So the book is Unwind by Neal Shusterman, DEFINITELY one of my favourites! Connor is a great protagonist, but I'm more impressed with Risa; it's so hard to find a good female lead these days. And I find Lev's little adventures thoroughly entertaining (I should draw him later). The book's concept is so morbid (and yet it's right up my alley :9) so I figured a humorous take on the idea of unwinding teenagers would be, I dunno, better.

I'm trying to get away from that manga-ish sorta style I've developed, but it's just so much easier, thus this relapse. Back to drawing British popstars, then. Also if anyone is at all curious, the words spilling out of Connor's severed abdomen are from the warranty pages of the 2010 IKEA Catalogue. Did you know they do not cover damage caused by acts of God?
