CSSSA Application Assignment E

Last night
We rode a tricycle into the pool
For no reason
Other than to watch the mixture
Of fear and joy on each other's faces
And laugh

You might say
That we are too old to be riding tricycles
But I say
Lives that are worth living
Break the rules sometimes
If only to laugh a little
Before the tricycle is too small
And we are too frail
