Chapter 20: Naruhina Reconciliation




Kuin was finally done with all the festival punishments that Lady Tsunade had given him and he was exhausted. He sit on a bench outside the Hyuga compound waiting for Hinata to get done with her guard duty. He hadn't spoken to her about what happened  yet and he felt awful. Kuin wasn't use to being on strange terms with Hinata and he wanted to apologize and make her understand that he was truly very sorry for how he had acted. Kuin knew Hinata probably wasn't going to be home for awhile but that gave him time to think and he didn't mind waiting for her to return. Ukia and Kuin were leaving tomorrow Kuin had two pictures lined up back to back he would be filming non stop for a year at the very least. He didn't know when he would be able to see the Hyuga's again and he needed to clear the air with Hinata it was important to him. She was his best friend and there had been a time when they were each others only friend. Hinata's letters were one of the things that keep Kuin going when he was on  set he would get a letter and read it when ever he got really bored and it would seem that her stories would make time fly by. Kuin needed to make sure that he had not messed up the longest and best friendship of his life. Kuin had no clue as to how long he sit on the bench and waited for Hinata he was lost in his pondering of things. But was shaken out of it has he heard Naruto's voice and Hinata's laughter he watched as the two rounded the corner hand and hand. Kuin realized then an there that Hinata was the happiest he had ever seen her. In his head he had always compared ever female he encountered to Hinata and they had always fallen short. Hinata was still the most beautiful woman he had ever seen and she was perfect to him. But after all the events that had taken place he knew that he needed to let all the romantic feelings towards her go if they could still be friends. It was going to be hard for him. An he seriously doubted he would ever meet someone he thought was better then Hinata. Kuin had to stop comparing every woman that talked to him to her. Kuin needed Hinatas friendship more then he would ever openly admit. If he had to loose her to some one he figured there was no better guy then Naruto he had already proven himself in Kuins eyes. Naruto had unflinching courage and a honest heart.






Naruto had surprised Hinata by meeting her at the front gate when she was done with her guard duty. She hadn't expected him to meet her she didn't even ask him to but after Ino and Hinata had finished debriefing there relief he was standing there waiting with a  cat like grin on his face. Hinata's heart melted at that smile. Ino was standing next to her
" I wish I had someone to walk me home Hinata." Ino sighed
"  Ino, you will get your wish." Hinata smirked at her
She linked arms with Ino and smiled at Naruto.
" Naruto looks like we are walking Ino home tonight." Hinata said has she winked at her boyfriend.
" I wanted to spend some time alone with you Hinata."
Hinata went over to Naruto and whispered in his ear. Her cheeks glowed bright red.
" But if you want to walk Ino home that is fine with me."
" Geeh thanks Naruto." Ino flicked her hair
The minute they dropped Ino off Naruto wrapped his arm around Hinata's waist and hugged her close.
" I think now that Ino is gone you can pay up."
Hinata yanked her boyfriend into the nearest alley and threw her arms around his neck and kissed him hard on the lips all her want from not having seen him all day spilling into the kiss. When she started to nibble on his bottom lip Naruto moaned aloud and pulled away.
" So did you miss me today Hinata ?"
He quirked his eyebrow at her and smiled as her cheeks lit up a new shade of red. And then he kissed her on the lips and they stayed like that a few moments before they broke apart. Both breathing heavily.
" Naruto we had better start making our way back to the compound it is getting rather late and you know how my father is."
" Okay love."




Naruto grabbed her hand and escorted her back to the Hyuga compound. He was currently telling her Jiraiya stories and Hinata couldn't help but giggle. They rounded the corner hand and hand smiling when they noticed Kuin sitting on the bench outside the Hyuga compound. Naruto glanced at Hinata and knew that they needed to talk. He started to laugh at himself he was oblivious to her feelings all these years and now with one look form her he could almost tell what she was thinking. Naruto looked at Hinata
" I understand Hinata, I think you should to talk to him before he leaves tomorrow. I love you."
Naruto wasn't trying to rub it in Kuins face that he got the girl even if he wanted to so he bent down to give Hinata a quick peck on the forehead and turned to leave. When she grabbed his arm and kiss him passionately Naruto was floored did his shy Hinata really just do that in front of people.
" Don't think for one minute we are going back to saying good night like that Uzumaki."
" The thought never crossed my mind lavender eyes see you tomorrow after noon for training at field 7."
" Alright Naruto good night."
She gave him a quick peck and Naruto turned to leave at least he pretended to leave. He wanted to hear what was going to be said he couldn't help it if he was curious. An what guy in his right mind would leave some one has beautiful as Hinata with a famous actor who had already tried to steal her away from him once and tried to hit her. Naruto knew he was justifying eavesdropping but he didn't think that he would get caught.







Hinata went and sit next to Kuin on the bench and looked at him they were both silent for a few minutes.
" You already know I am sorry right Hinata?"
" Of course I do Kuin I knew you were sorry right after you realized what you had done. It is just so hard for me to believe that you would try and stop me from being happy and try to attack some one I love very much. An even try and attack me."
" Hinata I am so sorry, I don't know what came over me at all. I was jealous of Naruto so jealous that I couldn't think straight. I couldn't see straight I was scared of having another man in your life be more important then me. It is not like you lead me on or anything. I mean I know you have been in love with Naruto since we were four years old."
Naruto could not believe that Hinata had only started at the academy when she was five. How could she possibly have liked him that young he was blushing at he how dense he was and how lucky he was that some one really did love him that much.
Kuin laughed and he heard Hinata giggle on the side of him.
" Do you really remember that Kuin?"
" How could I ever forget something like that? That was the last time I ever got in trouble with my father well not including this recent incident apparently you are a trouble maker Hinata."
Hinata just folded her arms over her chest and gave Kuin a look.
" Okay maybe I am the trouble maker. Any way it was right after both our mothers had died and my dad and your dad decided to get together to heal some of their pain. When you saw some one just as sad as you over the loss of a love one we became instant best friends and we use to play make believe games like ninja, teacher, and prince and princess."
Kuin smiled at her
" You look like a princess now Hinata, you did then to."
Naruto was completing jumping out of the tree he was hiding in and struggling Kuin would this guy ever stop hitting on Hinata.
" Really Kuin that's enough of that." Hinata said
" I remember that day was the day you meet him. You came home and told me that when we played prince and princess I couldn't be your prince anymore because you meet a knight in shinning armor that had blue eyes the color of the sky and blonde hair that reminded you of the sun."
Hinata blushed at her four year old selves description of Naruto and true to her word she still thought the same. Naruto who was still in hiding wanted to go and hold his adorable girlfriend but he was waiting to hear more.
" I then told you that knights didn't marry princess's. Prince's married princess's you then corrected me and told me that if the knight was brave enough he could earn a princess's hand. An that our kingdoms could still be close enough that we could hold balls you with your knight and me with a different princess."
" You know Kuin, I remember you got so mad. You convinced me to run away with you because if I married a knight one day we would be separated. I couldn't bear to think of that. You were my only friend in the world I never wanted us to not be friends."  
" An our we still friends Hinata?"
" I was mad at you Kuin. But I would never not be your friend and I could never hate you. Though I do feel like our little make believe game has come kind of close to reality."
" You know Hinata really it has an we will always be close just like in our story."
" Yes, Kuin."
" You will still write me when I am on set Hinata won't you. Your letter always make me so happy and you can talk to me about Naruto like you always do. Some of the stories you tell me about Naruto and Kiba our the funniest ones. Actually even though I started comparing myself to Naruto when I was four years old I would just like to say that I am not as gullible or has dense as him."
" Don't worry I will write you still Kuin. And don't call Naruto dense since he can probably hear you from the tree he is hiding in over there."
Hinata pointed at a near by tree.






Naruto after hearing that panicked a little did Hinata really know he was over here. Was she mad at him for eavesdropping on her conversation. Of course he flayed his arms above his head lost his position and fell right out of the tree. So much for being the hero of Konoha when he couldn't even keep his balance or stay hidden. Hinata looked at Kuin who was laughing. Naruto got up and rubbed his behind and smiled at them sheepishly.
" Sorry Hinata I couldn't help myself your not mad are you?" Naruto asked
" Of course not Naruto I knew you were there the whole time. You okay ?"
" Yeah I am fine Hinata. Well I am glad you two are friends again and Kuin I think you owe me for insulting me and trying to hit on Hinata again. How about one day you hand over those letters."
Kuin laughed
" I can't help it if Hinata is pretty and maybe one day for a wedding present for the two of you. Until then I wouldn't make Hinata mad at me again."
Naruto and Hinata both blushed at the thought of one day being married to the other because they would both love if that happened in time.
" Well Naruto I guess I am glad you two are together. You do make my best friend happy but if you ever do anything to hurt her I will find you and beat you to a pulp personally."
Kuin pointed at Naruto
" Yeah right like you could do that even if you wanted to. I could totally wipe the floor with you." Naruto said
" Actually if the two of you ever decide to fight again unless for training purposes it might make me mad enough to wipe the floor with both with of you as Naruto likes to put it."
Hinata glared at both of them. Both boys looked at other and knew they would never cross her so they nodded.
" What ever you say lavender eyes."
" Yeah Hinata, it won't ever happen. Actually Naruto I know you probably don't like to write letters but if you are ever bored and want to send me one I won't mind it gives me something to do on the movie sets." Kuin said
" Who knows maybe I will every once and a while."
Naruto shrugged as Kuin went into to the Hyuga compound to go to bed. Naruto and Hinata sneak in some good night kisses and then went off to bed.
