As we all know, Torsten is currently on vacation, in the UK to be precise. This means that there's nothing he can do to stop me from putting up boring photos of my car's trip computer. I'm sure he'll take his revenge as soon as he gets back, but at least I can annoy him (and you, if this annoys you) till then.

2.9 liters per 100 kilometers is equal to about 81 miles per gallon. Achieved during my 52 kilometer commute home from Duisburg.

And since the tank is currently full, I'd have a range of 1690 kilometers, or 1056 miles, if I'd keep going like this. Not that I'd want to, since I'd probably die of boredom halfway through. Let's face it, flying along the left lane at 125mph is much more thrilling than crawling along the right lane at 56mph. And much more inefficient as well. But even when speeding for extended periods of time, my mileage rarely ever goes lower than 40, clearly showing that diesel is better if you want to speed economically. And the best place to put a TDI engine is of course into a hot hatchback.
