Description
This is (by quite a wide margin) the most ambitious My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic vectoring project I've yet undertaken. I began it late last week, and through the art of procrastination I didn't end up finishing it until a bit earlier tonight.
It's based on this [link] panoramic image that I originally hacked together from several screenshots of Episode 2 to try and make myself a quick dual-monitor wallpaper. I wasn't really happy with it, though, as 720 pixels tall just isn't really that great for most monitors, however wide the image might be.
So I decided to vector it, and in doing so you'll notice I took a few liberties from the original image. I guesstimated the lower portions of all the ponies, and completed them so as to make the image both better-looking and just all-around taller. I also tweaked a few things here and there (Rarity's eyelashes, etc.), and altered the positions of the Element fragments so as to have each pony in the shot looking properly-encircled. I also changed Rainbow's pose just a bit.
Doing this reminded me of a few things... mainly, how much I hate backgrounds, lol. But it also reminded me why I've (up to now) avoided vectoring Rarity, as her hair can be a bit of a pain to get just right; I think it came out nicely here, though.
Why did I upload it at such an absurd resolution? No idea... but as it's a somewhat unique shot, I thought people might like to have it in as extreme a size as possible, for whatever use they might want to make of it.
I'll also be uploading each pony individually, sans background.
In creating this, I made use of 's very useful colour guides for each of the ponies.
