The Scent of MorningTo have smelled the scent
Of morning elegance
Lying by your side
That time before
When angels sung
In crystal caves
And owls lay
In parted fields
Of light
To have seen the rain
In your eyes
Tasting your lighting tongue
Kissing watermelon lips
Resting hands on
Pencil thin hips
To have felt strength
In peaceful yearning
On honey scented lazy days
The regret in your eyes
Stinging gracefully while
Crinkled hands hid dirty tears
Feeding my soul
With bits of chewed
Hope
Dreaming pleasant dreams
In desperate fields
Of gray and cold
The morning came
With no warmth
The sun rose
With no light
So elegance died
With no remembrance

The Scent of Morning by rocky-loves-emily

The suggestor says: I thought this was beautiful,
the imagery was quite like nothing I've seen before
and the ending took my breath away.

OthernessYou were black and white, sitting in a cafe. You were a perfect cut-out of everything that everyone ever wanted to be and you knew it. You used that simple fact to form a barricade, blindly fight your way through life so that no one ever followed. You shed your unwilling skin until there was nearly nothing left, then you tried to rebuild all that you'd lost... Yes, people wanted to be like you, but they didn't know the cost like I did. Through becoming so close to you, I uncovered the darker, more sinister answers to the riddles you spun throughout your thin little life. You had no idea that I knew all of this and you continued, oblivious to not just me, but everything going on around you, never knowing that I was always there ready to pop your bubble when it all got too much for you.
I was full of colour, staring at the wind. I was never what was to be expected, I went against the smooth run and order of the things people take for granted. I would excuse myself from life and run out o

A piece of contrasts, this plays with different
delivery modes. It starts in second person, the moves
on. This, plus the contrasting double imagery makes for
an interesting take on two perceptions of life.

Colors of a Sunflower--C.Her name was Sunflower, but it didn't suit her; she had black hair and blacker eyes and ink-stained fingers. Everything about her was dark and shadowy. Sometimes she found herself envying anything with color - when she looked at the other girls with their sunlit smiles and strawberry lips, she started to ache.
His name was Kirk and it didn't matter that it didn't suit him because everyone knew him as Hamster. He spent his mornings peeling the sleep from his eyes; his afternoons were dedicated to deciphering the codes of a cheerleader's walk. He used to beg strangers to read his fortune in the dimples of his cheeks; his favorite line used to be, "So...can you see yourself with me in the near future? Please say that you do." Usually, he'd leave them breathless with his name on their minds and their numbers in his pocket. But her. He couldn't even get her to blink. She became his obsession. His Iwantsomethingmore tune.

"Colors of a Sunflower" by betwixtthepages and aprilwednesday

This collaboration is an interesting short story,
that illustrates excellent character voices. Both are
unique and interesting yet, despite the different authors,
mirror well. The tone remains consistent and even through-out.
A great example of the beautiful work that can be
created by collaborations.

"Ogen vol met tranen" by Exvivo

A short piece that mixes subtlety with strong
emotions, thus creating a stunning piece of literature.
A dark tone, powerful emotions, and well-chosen words
have ceated this amazing tale.
