Dreadnought C.F.S. Leviathan

Airship commission by *BrotherOstavia, highly recommended to me by *Shimmering-Sword. All credit goes to Ostavia in regards for this beautiful design and concept of the airships in my world.

Nation: Republic of Arcadia, Caliban Federation Ship (CFS)
Class: Dreadnought w/ Barrier Escort
Role: Mobile Heavy Weapon Platform (true role is transport)
Unique Features: Fires 'cutting beam' laser from primary lens array in direct center of ship, secondary weapons located in top of the ship (longer duration beam cannons), while tertiary rapid-fire 'pulse' lasers are on the wing portions of the ship to protect from small aircraft and targets, as well as protect the landing platform there.

The Leviathan is a ship of extremely ancient origin. Currently, there are no ships like it, and it is one of the more unconventional warships in existence due to the lack of propellers or steam engines to keep it afloat. It is also the only ship capable of fully submerging itself underwater, making it the undisputable king of the seas.

Made of an exceptionally durable shell-like material, the Leviathan is always accompanied by her two sister escort ships, the Caldora and the Caldaron. It is also more 'magic' enhanced than normal ships, boasting a much stronger barrier 'shield' (projected around the entire ship in a bubble from the floating ring) to keep damage away from the ship itself.

The ship, historically, is of Divine-make, and thus is not create-able by any faction in their world. As a symbol of the President Elect's authority and power, the Arcadians ask no questions of the ship; while to the Caliban people it is a ship of significant religious importance. This Divine ship is technically considered a 'transport' ship, but its weaponry and armor are more than enough to take on similar dreadnoughts (though with significantly fewer weapon hardpoints than other ships of its class).

The ship's primary method of flying is via the Barrier Ring that constantly revolves around the ship, creating a 'lift' and suspending the primary ship in the air. The ring can be configured to readjust itself (and even expand!) to fulfill other needs, such as acting as a giant barrier shield or even an amplifying lens for its 'laser' weaponry. In the background is one of the two escort ships that are always escorting the Leviathan, with fewer 'main' cannons and other weapon hardpoints, but they are capable of firing their beams into the Leviathan's to increase her firepower if need be. Also, unlike the main ship with its two large landing platforms on either side, the escort ship's landing area is directly to the rear of the central section.

Size-wise, the ship is large enough to land a cruiser on the protruding wing, while the entire interior of the 'fin' has been carved out and houses facilities and other accommodations for the large crew.

Due to its importance as well as being a symbol of the President-Elect's authority, the ship is either in the Arcadian Twin Capital of Tel'ron or is stationed in the Caliban Isles at the Crystal Valley Forge.
