Screamprompt #17A #17B, July 1, 2011

July is here and so are 110+ degree temps out here in the dusty asshole of the desert, Las Vegas.  Truly, aside from perhaps August, there is no worse time of the year to be here.  So that is what our prompts will be – the worst.

I usually like to keep things positive so I think these two, though the things that you choose to happen should be bad, could have a funny side to them, or at least ironic.  

Please take more than five minutes to think about what you’re going to write; don’t just pop off the first thing that comes to mind because you can do better than that and you’ve got plenty of time.


PROMPT A

The absolute worst time for déjà vu.

People still aren't sure how déjà vu works, the science behind it or mental alchemy that it could be, but all I know is I would HATE having it when I was at work.  To me, that was the worst because if there's truth to "if you have déjà vu that means you're on the right track in your life" but I was at a place I hated being, it just made me really unhappy.
Can be at least 1000 but no more than 2000 words.
Must be in First Person POV.
Due on July 15, 2011.


PROMPT B

The absolute worst way in the world to meet someone important to you.

You can choose either bad timing, a bad location or something else that would ruin a moment to make a first impression on someone you need to look good for.  You are not limited to those examples, they are merely examples.  But like I said, think about it.  Give me at least six minutes.
POV is up to you.
Should be at least 2500 words.
Due on July 31, 2011.
