A few days after I posted a color version of an image by oblivionpar, I heard that he deactivated his account.  According to ElementosKingu73 by way of Dagwam in journal entry, he was banned.  I was sad to see this, and recall putting together a journal feature about Oblivionpar back in 2008.  I sent an e-mail to him to verify and found out more to the story.  According to Oblivionpar, he just decided to retire from the community.  Here's what he said:

"I was on your DA page and read what people said and to be honest, it isn't true, it's just I think this part of my life has ended (that's why I deactivated it)
But it's not like I stop loving FBB (I won't ever ^^), simply I changed my role and started being an appreciator instead of an "artist" (or whatever I could be named upon) so i'm gonna try and keep an eye on the community once in a while without an account."

"Wasn't easy and I feel bad for the things that never were able to be done."

While it's sad to see oblivionpar leave, it's good to know that it wasn't because of something negative like being banned.  I'll miss his artwork.  I've asked if it would be ok to repost his stuff somewhere, and I'll see what he says.  In the meantime, the thumbnails are still on DeviantArt so I'll end with the ones from my previous journal feature.  Good luck, Oblivionpar, in whatever the future holds for you!
