Maurice Devereaux, one of the upcoming greatest master of horror replied to my fan mail!!!! XD Oh God! I can't stop smiling!
my Mail
hello, Mr. Devereaux!
I'm Paul from the Philippines and an avid slasher fanatic (Lord knows I'm the only slasher fanatic in the Philippines...)
I just would like to say, thank you for making the End of the Line film. Though I'm not spiritually with you about religion, I have to agree with your fears in religious extremism. Despite me being Catholic, I do have to admit that the fear of people using religion as a scam is really terrifying, and your film serves as a warning to all people who are about to do the same thing.
I believe your film should be properly reviewed by my fellow Christians as some sort of eye-opener to teach our beliefs more properly. No scams, no brainwashing into false beliefs and icons, just plain morality and proper theologic studies. The world is getting poorer and desperation often misguide these people into crimes, diversity and yes, even murders, your point to this is really true. Religion is supposed to be for the good of mankind, teaching people to love one another and do good for our own, but lately, because of zeals and extremists, we got human sacrifices and suicides for their own vision of heaven (...bomb down a plane for you to go to heaven...I know I'm supposed to be tolerant but that is just crazy XD)
You have a great talent for making slasher films (especially $la$her$) , hope your next would be better and I do hope your hardwork will be recognized and greatly appreciated by not only the horror purists, but also those who might find it offending.
God-Speed Mr. Devereaux!
after one night, he replied back:
Hello Paulo,
Hope you are doing great, thank you for the nice comments it's very appreciated...
All my best,
Kindest regards
Maurice

HOLY CRAP! MY FIRST SUCCESSFUL FAN MAIL!
For those who didn't know, Maurice Devereaux is the mind behind Lady In the Lake, $LA$HER$ and the more recent (and very controversial) End of the Line, which revolves around a group stuck in a subway, attacked by killer extremist cults. Like always, this slasher film was bashed by the sensitive religious, but they're forgetting the true message behind this film (or so I believe it) : Religion is a very sensitive and strong matter, it should not be taken lightly and it must be taught with true virtue and proper knowledge; to beware false icons or they're be hell to pay.
Apparently, Maurice tackled this pretty well.

Adieu
Adieu my friends.
This account had a great run but I just felt like it had gone too random for me. In case you want to fave and look into my art pieces here, I'm not gonna stop you. I'm gonna leave this open for you all to see and cherish.
For you, my fans and friends, we had a good time didn't we? I know some of you are still following me on my other considerably more active accounts and I'm happy that you stayed loyal. You made me proud to be your friend. For those who wants to know where I dwell in right now, here be my links:

StickyRed, a Compendium of Bodycounts is now two years old! HURRAH!
In 2011, I decided to start my first blog to record all of my slasher movies and my opninions to each and everyone of them. Two Years of Slasher films and Bodycount Thrillers later and it's still standing up strong, and I have to thank you all, my viewers, for stopping by every now and then! And to think these days just flew by!
So here's to another year of Bodycounting, gore hounds! And to another good year of slasher films and all that comes in between~
ToyCon 2013 (AKA Here I Go Again!)
So it's that time of the year again! My second year attending the Annual Philippine ToyCon, where collectors gather for collectibles, cosplayers do cosplays and everyone who's a geek is always welcome!
The convention took place at SM Megamall nearby a branch of the company I work in, and it was supposed to had started last Friday, June 14, running on for three days, so I had my day-offs from work changed for the week so I can have the weekends off and have some nerdy fun! I may have a headache or two for this coming Monday, but it was worth it~
Ten minutes after the mall just opened (I came there as early as I could. The mall opens at 10:00 a
