Animal Lover Fans - Group Rules of Submissions

This should go with out saying but we have to say it... realistic animals only ^_^

We ask is that you please submit to the correct folder! If you are unsure about which folder you should be submitting too, take a look though the gallery first and make the best judgment call. If you still have a question feel free to send us a note and ask!

Obviously submissions must be of your own work! Give credit where credit is due. ( like use of brushes stock etc. ) This group has a 0 tolerance policy towards art theft.

Fan arts from movies/games/shows are lightly accepted depending on the work it self. We stress the importance of keeping this group focused on our #1 fan, the animals! If there is a fan art group for the art in question, please refrain from submitting it here. We want to give exposure to animal art works, not necessarily fan art works.

Please no images with unnatural color markings unless its tastefully applied. Example of accepted, lighting affects the fur a certain way, color theory applied for visual impact, the animal can produce those colors, fur patterns naturally. Example of non accepted, the animal is blue because you wanted a blue tiger with checkers instead of stripes.

Please no images with animals with strange or odd jewelry/clothing. Collars are okay, jackets for horses and such are okay. But nothing you wouldn't see on an animal that was in the wild.

A great deal of care and effort was put into the work submitted. Meaning no quick study hall sketches. Images are artistically rendered and planed rather then rushed. This goes for Photography too, the composition, lighting and subject matter look like they work. Careless snapshots will not be accepted.

Absolutely no character design reference sheets.

Humans are allowed so long as there is focus on a animal counterpart. We agree we love animals... if a human is showing affection towards an animal its okay. However if the human is the focus of the image and not the animal please do not submit it.

Photography of animals is accepted, but please only submit your best work! No quick snap shots!

Please no mature content.

Please no Anthropomorphic or Furry animals.

Please no comic book pages featuring animals. However, it is okay to submit comic cover pages featuring a new chapter of the series with animals on it. These have more artistic qualities then just inside pages. We do this so people don't submit entire comics to the group for free advertising. There are much better groups for this purpose only. So as long as the cover of the comic is with in the above guidelines it may be accepted.

We will decline deviations that are not up to a basic artistic standard, as many clubs have galleries full of junk due to members using club submissions as free advertising. Make sure your photos and drawings have good composition, good focus, and a compelling subject.

Remember art is subjective, and submissions are judged by case by case. Feel free to ask us if you're not sure if its okay for this group! ^_^
