We are a Team Magma fanclub, celebrating the red and black team of the earth from the pokemon series. Upon joining, you are not required to create a character, nor are you required to submit works or participate in events and contests...But if you don't, then you're not having much fun are you? 8D Any member may participate in the group any way they like, and we would love to see this group becoming more active again.
There are two halves to the group; the general "Archives" half is a fanclub that anyone may submit to. The "Team Magma" half earns points for their submissions. How do you earn points? Well it's simple! You just have to fill out a completed character reference! This shows us your dedication to the group and prevents us from wasting our time counting points for those who don't care to use them.
Once an admin has reviewed it and accepted your application, you'll be added to the members list.
The more you participate in the group, the more points you will earn. Eventually with enough gained points, you will be able to cash them in for rewards like art! Sound fun? As it should.
So, you wanna join the guardians of the earth? Thought so. Here's how:
--- Advertise for the group in a journal
--- Send a note with the subject "Join" or a join request with a link to the journal.
--- If you wish to join Team Magma as a member rather than as a fan, also include a link to your character reference in your join request. Questions on how to create a character? See the character creation guidelines below.
--- No submissions that are primarily made to promote any money making sites like patreon. Any logo for a offsite thing should take up minimal space and not be the main focus of the artwork.
--- Although it's preferable that you like Team Magma, it's not completely necessary as long as what you submit is in good taste.
--- Any submitted works that require a mature content filter should ask permission before submitting. We don't want anything too bloody or sexual here. We're not that kind of group.
--- Be respectful and kind to one another and the group's admins. No flaming, bad mouthing or cyber bulling will be tolerated here.
--- This is a Team Magma fan group, so submissions disrespecting Team Magma might not be accepted into the group, even if it is tongue in cheek. Acceptability for questionable content is a case by case basis
--- Art theft is NOT okay! Reports of this will be taken in a case by case basis. Anyone found stealing art will be given a warning. The second infraction will result in a ban. Using bases and references is okay, just make sure you give credit to whatever base or reference helped you.

Team Magma pokemon: Pokemon of a Magma member, or any pokemon with the following types: Fire, dark, ground, rock, steel
Cosplays and crafts: Photographs of cosplays can go here! This folder also accepts other forms of crafts, whether it's jewelry, clay sculptures, or really anything 3D.
Stories and Fanfics: Any written work can go here. For now, comics can go here as well.

---Team Magma's goal is to expand the landmass for the good of mankind, while Team Aqua wishes to expand the oceans for the embitterment of water pokemon.
---Team Magma was going to do this by awaking the slumbering legendary pokemon, creator of continents, GROUDON! Buuut at the same time, Team Aqua awakened Kyogre, the expander of oceans, and so they clashed and drew a truce.
---Team Magma's boss is named Maxie, and his "Three Fires", or commanders, are Tabitha/Mitch, Courtney/Marge, and Blaise/Mack. Notice they all have a name starting with "M".
---Discipline
Unlike Team Aqua, Team Magma displays strict discipline and are comparable to a military.
---Loyalty
Loyalty is expected of every member. Traitorous acts are punishable by death.
---Productivity
Do everything you can for the Team. Laziness will not be rewarded.

Fill it out in its entirety, and write more about your character in the artist comments!
Be sure to include:
Hometown: Where did they grow up and where to they live now?
Personality: What is your character like?
History: What is your character's background like? What brought them here to Team Magma?
Occupation: Obviously, your character works with Team Magma. But what does your character do for them? Scientist? Foot soldier? Etc. Their uniform is allowed to be altered to better fit their job if need be.
When designing your character, remember that their uniform should reflect their rank. You may use the new uniforms from ORAS as well as the old uniforms from RSE. New uniforms are preferred, but you can add whatever small amounts of...dare I say...Flare...to whatever you choose.
Rank-differing uniform examples will be posted later.
--- Each submitted piece of work earns 1 Magma Point. Contest and event entries earn 2 MP
--- You will be allowed to be promoted every 5 MP earned Send a note titled "Redeeming MP for Promotion"
--- Alternatively, you can save the MP to request art. Send a note titled "Redeeming MP for Art".
----------------A Headshot costs 10 MP
----------------A full body+one pokemon costs 20 MP.
--- Art will be done by one of the admins, who will take turns doing so.
0 MP - Trainee
Unless you've gained special permission from an admin, your character will start out as a trainee. This is the phase of Team Magma finding out if you have what it takes to roll with them, and if you're trustworthy.
5 MP - Grunt
Once your character has passed training, your character will become an average grunt. Expect typical foot soldier work like guarding things. This is the phase where you'll start figuring out what your occupation will be.
10 MP - Agent
Those who have figured out what skill they can offer Team Magma are called Agents, or Ace Grunts. They work more with their specific specialty and are given new responsibilities along with a pay raise. There are many agent specialties: infantry, detective/spy, thief, human resources, pilot, supply, etc.
15 MP - Officer
Officers are permitted to know more secrets than Agents. They are typically the leaders in their specialty field.
20 MP - Commander
*Commander is a rank given only to members who take care of the account when the Boss is away. They will handle notes, comments, and such. You have to earn this rank and it can be stripped from you if you abuse your power.*
Commanders are second to the leader. There are typically only three of them, although four is not unheard of. They are given the most important missions and operate closely with the Boss, and they relay the Boss's orders to the rest of the Team. The horns on their hoods are actually special lighters. Detachable from the hoods, they can be used to burn things and record the information/images that were burned.
25+ MP - Leader / Boss / High Commander
*The Boss rank is reserved for the group's Founder. Should the Founder retire from the rank, one of the commanders will be chosen to take the Boss' place as new Leader of Team Magma.*

Although technically a group of criminals, all Magma members are expected to follow the following rules. Breaking this code of conduct is punishable depending on the severity of the situation.---Discipline

2. Nothing made to promote offsite money making like Paetron UNLESS THE LOGO OR GRAPHIC TO PROMOTE THAT SITE IS NOT THE MAIN FOCUS OF THE PICTURE (it should take up no more than 1/9th of the image, with the art as the main focus)
3. Pokemon only art is acceptable so long as it is a pokemon associated with Magma, or the legendaries associated with the Magma plot. Such as Pokemon that appear with Team Magma, Groudon, Kyogre, or Rayquaza. (IMAGES SUBMITTED TO THIS CATEGORY ARE ACCEPTED OR REJECTED ON A CASE BY CASE BASIS)
