A Long-Time Space Mantis Lost Vinyl
The Lost Mantis Vinyl is firstly a collection of several original fractals that I've created over the years and never released, for a reason or another, and which I have decided to release publicaly. I'll add more on a regular basis.
These artworks are not all esthetic in nature, but may often carry a high level of symbolism and meanings.
You will find here fractals created over 20 years long period, using several fractal softwares.

There we go with my second Mandelbrot Fractal Art Contest 2011 entry! That sure took me some time. I wanted to make one of my entries a gnarl, but I couldn't find one that fit the mood. Then, here's what came out.
Incidentally, this also happens to be my 300th fractal made with UF ever since March 2010, when I first started using the program. A Spartan one, I guess?
For those interested in the concept behind the artwork, here's a piece of the description I put on the website:
<< The fractal's concept originates from a vivid mixture of the four elements - earth, fire, air and water, starting from top and going clockwise. Each one of them occupies more or less one quarter of the image's ideal radius, and blends with the other two confining elements. However, not even the keystone gnarl in the middle [...] can fully balance the turbulent, unstoppable, frenetic motion going on in the background, alternating between ups and downs in a continuous, chaotic flow [...]. >>
