Deidara: WTF FIRE

Last upload before school starts.

This is an idea that just kinda popped into my head, and I felt the need to draw it. Sort of a Naruto/Avatar: The Last Airbender crossover thing. Apparently Deidara's hand-mouths and clay have been replaced with firebending without his knowledge, and he doesn't know what to do with the fireball that is now in his hand. As for the Fire Nation clothes, I don't know.

I know, considering where he's from and his chakra type, Earth Kingdom would make more sense, but Deidara seems like he would make a better firebender than an earthbender. Plus, you've got to admit, he looks really good in that shade of red.

I used this tutorial for the fire: [link] Everything else was done using random shading and lineart techniques that I've picked up over time.

Overall, I like how this picture came out. The hand doesn't look too awkward (to me anyway), and it gave me an excuse to shade with an unusual light source. Plus, his hair looks so pretty and shiny!
