The Word Wars Chat Tour has moved to its new home at WordWars!
What is the Word War Chat Tour?
It's two things really. First, it's a writing game that you play in a chatroom with other writers. Second, it's a tour and we visit other chatrooms. Essentially we are touring the literature community bringing our fun game with us.
Word Wars – The Game
It's a friendly competition to see who can write out the most in a set period of time. In a chatroom setting the game is fast paced fun with the timer set to a few minutes and participants compete in several rounds. Speed writing is key!

The Tour
Each month we find a different literature group to host our game in their chatroom. Then the Chat Tour and the group's staff collaborate to plan the fun event. The best part (besides the fun and prizes) is that the entire literature community is invited to participate!
What's in it for you?
WritingWe're writers, and what better perk is there than a nudge to work on one of your own projects? If you're behind on a project, or been meaning to start one, it's a good excuse to sit down and write.

Participate in a round and you'll be entered for the prize. The host group may include their own prizes in addition. Definitely worth checking out. Discovering literature groups.There are tons of literature groups on dA. Maybe you haven't heard of the latest group stop, or maybe you have but weren't sure about joining. Participating is a great opportunity to meet some of the staff personally and discover more about the group.
Making new lit friends.You'll meet bunches of fun and friendly community members! Every time I've hosted a Word War we've had a blast, and quite a few participants added each other as friends.

Do I have to join these groups to participate in the Chat Tour?Nope! Though we do suggest you check out the group (because they're all really awesome) you aren't obligated to join. The events are open to everyone on dA.
Why don't you make your own chatroom?We're a tour so we travel through the literature community's chatrooms. Whoever heard of a tour sitting in one place all the time?
