"Well, well, well…look what we have 'ere, Seamus. A little beauty for us to steal away." A pirate
sneered, looking down at you with beady eyes.

"Oi, the Captain'll love this little one." Said the second pirate, who was red headed with a
Scottish accent. The two lugs had managed to capture you when they had plundered your hometown.
You had threw yourself if their way to save your family, so they caught you instead. Luckily, from what
you could see, you were the only captive. You glared daggers up at your two captors.

"Haha, Seamus, won't you look at that! I don't think she ain't too happy with us!" The first pirate

chuckled.

"Obviously not, Brom. Hurry up and get her to the ship before she tries something!" Seamus
ordered. Brom let out a sigh and hoisted you up over his shoulder leaving you only able to kick your
bound legs around frantically.

"Unhand me, you stupid lug!" You cried, but to no avail. Damn. You were as good as dead.

"You really think that's going to make him put you down, eh, lassie? No offence, but are you
stupid or something? We're pirates, we aren't going to listen so a damn wench like you!" Seamus
laughed loudly. He was being extremely cocky for your liking. You glared even more at him and a low
growl escaped your throat. You reached the ship soon enough, and were pretty much thrown onto the
deck. You had to say, this ship was bloody huge, with men running about everywhere, getting ready to
set sail once again.

"Captain! We got a little present for you, come see!" Seamus bawled out. He seemed like the
more talkative and cunning of the two. When the Captain approached, your eyed widened in shock. He
certainly looked much too young to be Captain; he was probably no older than twenty years. He was
about average height with shaggy blond hair that hung over his alluring emerald eyes. What gave away
his status as captain was his fine red coat and matching hat with large feathers stuck in it.

"Ugh, Brom, Seamus…I didn't order you to capture anyone." He said, looking down at you for a

brief second then back to your two captors.

"Yes, sir, but look at her! Isn't she a beaut?" Seamus replied, gesturing a hand down at me. This
time, the Captain got a real good look at you. His handsome green eyes seemed to bore into you, which
made you blush and squirm around. He snorted as he straightened back up and his gaze returned to
Seamus.

"Whatever you say, Seamus. You know I don't have any interest in women. Although, what's
your name, Miss?"

"Pfft, why would I tell you that? You just captured me, git!" You spat.

"Technically, I didn't capture you, it was those two frogs there. And anyways, we have ways of
making people talk around here; and I really don't want to put you through any of that just for your
name." The Captain replied. Well, now you didn't exactly have a choice.

"_______ _______." You growled. The Captain's mouth curved up into a sly smirk.

"As I thought. I've heard a lot about you _______. Mostly about some mysterious power you
hold…?" The Captain said in a smooth voice. Your eyes widened.

"H-how did you…?" You lost your words. Only your family and your closest friends knew about
your ability to control the Elements.

"You tend to hear many things when you travel as much as I do." The bloody man replied.

"Captain Kirkland! I heard someone say that you brought in a prisoner, is it…oh." A young boy
said emerging from below the decks. He looked even younger than who you now knew as Captain
Kirkland, yet, his clothes looked just as finely tailored. He has sandy blond hair and fair blue eyes. He
spoke English, but he had sort of a strange plain accent.

"Ah, Alfred you're just in time. And yes, you heard correctly, she's right here." Captain Kirkland

said, pointing a black gloved finger at you.
"So, she's the only one they managed to get?" Alfred asked.

"Yes, but luckily for us, she's exactly the one I wanted." The Captain replied, rather possessively,
"Now, if you'll excuse me, I have better things to do than stared around and be glared at. Alfred, you get
the lass straightened away and give her a job to do." He finished off his sentence with a look in your
direction and walked off, his boots making loud thumps on the wooden deck.

"Don't mind him. He acts like that towards everyone." Alfred reassured you as he helped you up
and untied you. His soft blue eyes relaxed you. "I'm Captain Kirkland's first mate, Alfred Jones."

"I'm _______ _______. Pleased to meet you, sir." You replied politely. You definitely liked this
man better than that bloody Captain.

"Please, call me Alfred. Sir makes me feel old." He chuckled loudly, "Now then, how about I
show you where you sleep and set you off to work?" He winked at you as he took you by the wrist and
led you below deck.

"Well, this is where you're going to be sleeping." Alfred said, waving his hand at the room. You
nodded silently and Alfred showed you the galley and Captain Kirkland's office. For whatever stupid
reason you'd possibly go in there, you had no idea.

"Well, your task on this ship is to clean it. Y'know, swab the deck, clean the galley, maybe even
Captain Kirk's office is he so desires. You do a good job, he's VERY particular about the cleanliness of his
ship." Alfred warned. Coming from anyone else, it would have been a stern order, but, when Alfred said
it, I almost sounded like he was joking around. "You don't have to start until tomorrow, so for today I
guess you can just walk around. Just, try not to get in anybody's way, alright?"

"Yes, Alfred." You nodded and smiled slightly at the young man. He returned your smile, and
started walking away, his hand lingering on your wrist for as long as it possibly could. You stared after
him as he walked away. He was so handsome and kind. You realized what you were thinking and shook
your head, as if the motion would make the idea fall out of your ears. You sighed to yourself and made
your way to the stern of the ship, where the wheel was located. You were about to climb the stairs up to
the platform when you noticed a familiar bunch of feathers waving in the wind. You peeked around the
block of wood that held the wheel in place and saw the big black boots, elegant red coat and finally, the
now calm face of Captain Kirkland. You were about to turn around and go towards the bow when a
smooth voice froze you in place.

"Might I ask what you're doing…?" You turned around to meet the Captain's emerald eyes

staring down at you.

"Ah…well…Alfred finished showing me around and told me I could go about the ship…" You said

surprisingly quietly, fidgeting with your nails.

"I see, well, now that you're here…why don't you tell me about your…powers, mm?" You really
didn't like the way he said 'powers' and it almost made you not say anything. Then you realized you
preferred this calmer side of Captain Kirkland, so you spoke.

"I acquired them more than two years ago, so I'm still not very good at using them. Basically,
they allow me to control the Elements." You replied curtly.

"Interesting…show me." He ordered. Your eyebrows knitted together in annoyance. He didn't
even say please. What a bloody wanker. Despite your displeasure, you showed him, anyways. You closed
your eyes and held your right hand out in front of you. Moving your hand in a motion similar to a
jellyfish, you slowly brought your arm up higher. A small snake of water rose up over the railing of the
ship. Stopping the hand movements, you moved your arm slowly so that it crossed over to the left side
of your body. You opened your eyes and saw that the bit of water had separated from the rest of the
ocean and was now swirling above the deck. You made circular motions with your arm, and your little
'snake' floated towards you and started swirling around your body, faster and faster. Eventually, you
unwound the water from you and turned your palm upright. You quickly clenched your fist then
released it, the water evaporating into the air. You looked up at the Captain and almost giggled when
you saw him with his mouth agape.

"I don't think I've ever seen anything like it…" Was all the dumbfounded Captain could say.
"Well, like I said, I'm still not very good at using them." You said sheepishly, playing with the

ends of your hair.

"Can you fight with them?" He asked.

"I've never really had to, but, yes I can. Although, I won't be able to fight if someone has my
hands restrained." You replied. You couldn't channel your powers without your hands. If they couldn't
move, you were a sitting duck. The Captain seemed to take mental note of the last bit of your sentence.
He looked back to the front of the ship and didn't say a word. You took this as being dismissed, so you
walked away in a huff, slightly insulted that he didn't say a word to you. You explored the ship a bit
more, when you saw Alfred walking up to you.

"Hey, how are you fairing out?" He asked you. You were about to answer him when the ship hit
a big swell and sent you off-balance. Luckily, Alfred was there to catch you.

"It takes a while to get your sea legs. Are you okay?" He said, steadying you while chuckling.

"Yes…I'm fine…" You replied, blushing slightly. Once Alfred knew you weren't going to fall over,
he let go of you. You muttered a small thanks, and he walked away still laughing. The Captain could
learn a thing or two from Alfred.

A little while afterwards, the crew was called down to supper. It was then you realized how
hungry you were, so you quickly made your way down into the galley. Most of the crew had already
lined up for the food. You sighed and grabbed a bowl and waited.

"So, how's your first day coming along, lass?" Said a certain Scottish accent behind you. Your
turned around, and sure enough, there was Seamus behind you.

"Sort of boring, actually…" You replied, looking at his green eyes. They looked similar to Captain
Kirkland's, but, they didn't share that intense fire that you saw in the Captain's.

"Don't worry, lassie. I'm sure tomorrow'll be a bit more excitin' for ya." He said, grabbing his
own bowl.

"I'll take your word for it." You smiled and nodded. You hadn't really met any of the crew for
two reasons. One, you didn't want to bother anyone or get in their way. Two, you'd probably be around
the ship more tomorrow, anyways, and work was sure to get tiring fast, so you'd probably end up
chatting to someone who would be around. You had to admit, though, you were surprised. So far, the
crew was actually pretty nice. Except for that bloody, snarky Captain. Just thinking about him brought a
frown to your face. By this time, you were at the front of the line and the cook put some sort of stew
into your bowl. You walked away, but not before he gave you a queer look. Ignoring it, you took a seat
by yourself, which you didn't really mind. You were just about to start eating when you heard the chair
next to you scrape against the wooden floor. You looked to your left and saw Seamus plank his arse
down next to you.

"What the bloody hell are you doing…?" You asked, almost rudely.

"What kind of man would I be to let such a pretty lass eat by herself?" He said, grinning and
winking at you. You sighed, rolled your eyes and brought a spoonful of stew to your lips. You instantly
regretted that decision as that pile of…God-knows-what was the foulest thing you had ever put in your
mouth. Seamus laughed as the face you made.

"Not exactly the best food in the world, eh?" The Scott chuckled. He was scarfing his down like it
was the best thing ever. "I suggest you eat it as fast as you can so it doesn't taste as bad. You looked
back down to that damned bowl. You were so starving right now, since you hadn't eaten all day. You
started eating quickly and true to Seamus' words, it worked…sort of. You and Seamus started talking for
a while, and somehow managed to bring up the topic of the Captain.

"Why is he so rude?" You asked your new friend.

"Well, what do you expect, lass? He IS a pirate. We're not know to be the most polite or
sentimental creatures around." He said as he took a swig of his rum.

"Yes, but you're not like him. You're actually very kind..
You said with a small smile spread
across your lips/

"Why thank you, lass..
He chuckled, running a hand through his red hair. At that moment, you
heard the door of the galley open. You turned your attention to who entered. Well, speak of the Devil
and he appears, it was the Captain. You glared at the man as soon as you saw him, and when he turned
his gaze towards you, your eyes narrowed and your mouth formed a slight sneer. The blond man raised
and incredibly thick eyebrow and then turned his attention away from you. Seamus finished off the rest
of hi rum and stood up.

"Maybe you'll find out one of these days, lass..
He said as he stretched and walked out of the
galley. After a few moments of sitting there in confusion, you decided to do the same. You got one last
good glare at the Captain before exiting the galley and finding your room. You bolted to your bed and
threw yourself onto it, collapsing into a fit of tears. Why? Why did this happen to you? You missed your
house, you missed your family. Hell, you missed land in general. Now, you were stuck with these damn
pirates, doing all of their bloody dirty work. You hated that damn Captain for doing this to you, and for
what he probably would do to you. He'd use you for your powers and then dispose of you when he was
finished, no doubt. You continued on like this for another half-hour, before you eventually fell asleep,
your dormant body clutching the pillow to your chest.

And during your hysteria, you didn't hear the footsteps that paused at your door for a moment and then
quickly continued down the hall again.
So, I've been reading a bunch of NationxReader fanfictions, and I decided to write one of my own, yay! So, I do realize there are a nice few pirate!England ones out there, and they almost work the same. You get captured, you hate Captain, Captain makes you cook, blah blah. I tried to change it up a bit by giving you a different job as well as powers. I didn't want to make you a ninny.

So, Captain Kirkland seems more like Captain Jerkland right now, but I'm sure you all know that'll change ;)

Waah! I'm sorry if this seems a bit like AlfredxReader, it IS ArthurxReader, even if it doesn't seem like that right now!

Okay, so I HAD to put Alfred in there, I couldn't resist! I noticed than in most other Pirate!Hetalia fanfictions, Francis was the first mate to Arthur. I have other plans for him, don't worry. I put Scotland in there too, just for the hell of it.

Lame Star Trek reference is lame.

Enjoy, and please tell me what you think, I would really love it! :)
