Secret In The Forest

"It was cold, and the Moon had already risen. She still ran through the woods, searching for the path she had been walking on for hours. She realised that she had lost it, probably when the mists had started to appear. Now the night and the lantern she carried were her only companions. She thought about searching for a cavern or a hollow tree to spend the night in, when suddenly she saw a light glimmering between the trees. She walked towards that mysterious light and discovered in a kind of marshy forest clearing, a shrine. It could also be a sanctuary or a temple, she was not quite sure. All she knew was that the fire burning inside of it would keep her warm during night time.
She did not notice the amethyst eyes that were watching her."
