Autohemophagia

I don't wanted to focuse on those "Fantasy-Vampires" you know from stories, films or video-games. So I imagined what kind of vampires I can find in real life. And as I listened to the song "Renfield's Syndrome" by "Third Realm", this idea you see above came into my mind. "Renfield's Syndrome" is a designation for a psychiatric disorder in which the sufferer feels a need to consume blood. This can be caused by an event in childhood in which the sufferer associates the sight or taste of blood with excitement. The first stage of this psychiatric disorder is called "Autohemophagia" in which the sufferer cuts himself in order to drink his own blood.
