Description

After a long time trying to upload this (Deviantart is trolling me), I finally could upload the first page of my "serious" comic project, Seeds of Hope... Where you'll find Fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants, monsters, chases, escapes, True Love, miracles....

Some more serious comments... Let's see... This is a very special project and I'm working a lot on it, but also experimenting a lot. You surely will think "But she cheated on the backgrounds..." Well.. sort of. I actually drew a background... but it was so pathetic I decided to re-do it. Then I drew in my notebook a background using some screenshots as reference... and then I used the same screenshots to copy the textures (mainly the Venhadal's one). Then I though "What if I copy this house? And these sacks and barrels?" So... yes, I copypasted... but not a single screenshot... but a mix of all of them, so they fit the drawing I had made... Anyway yes... it is sort of cheating...

Yllwenn's dress is inspired partly on this one by the wonderful :iconlovelovegirl:, and on my own wedding dress. I know it is anachronic... but hey, it is a fantasy setting isn't it?

And this story was created while listening to music so... if you want a soundtrack for it, I'd say the wedding pages came to the sound of several Celtic dance style tunes, but very specially to the theme "See you tomorrow" from How To Train Your Dragon". Yes. Honestly.

Disclaimer:

This is a work for fun inspired on a character created on the Role Playing Computer Game Dragon Age Origins. The world, settings and most of the characters depicted here belong to Bioware. My vision of Yllwenn Tabris, though, is only mine, as it is the story I'm creating about her and some of the visions of the Lore I'm going to reflect in this story.

Text in the comic has been kindly reviewed by :iconwirls: and :icontwilightlover28:. All typos and mistakes, however, are mine, as well as the story itself. Text in the comments has not been reviewed and I apologize if my English tears your eyes out.

Lineart, colors and layout by me. Text edition by :iconabadir:

Thanks for all the support Yllwenn and me are receiving from all the Deviant Art community. I wouldn't be doing this if you weren't there!!!

Ok, lets start from the beginning. I'm really happy that You decided to draw this comic. It's hard to speak about originality when it comes to the fan-comic much related to the original game storyline, especially when I see only first page. Yllwenn is very well drawn, though I don't think that city elf could afford such a dress. Still I love the way she looks like. You used slightly modified backgrounds from the game, but they looks natural and works quite well with dancing people. But I guess You'll have to decide whether You'll continue to use screen-shots. Don't get me wrong - they are useful and handy but they also limits Your options - what if You decide to move an action to the place unavailable in the game, not to mention that You'd have to have a huge library of screen-shots suitable for Your plot.
Now, drawing technique... I see that You create contours traditionally than scan the drawing and colour it on Your computer. You have to pay more attention to removing those little irritating dots that remain after scanning. Opening text is interesting and if I haven't already knew what will happen I'd be very curious.

Aaaaand one more thing. Don't look at those ratings - I just hate that little stars. My opinion is subjective and numbers have noting to do with it. Keep up the good work!
