Description
This is a "Post Fall" Aetheric Ray gun, backwards engineered from one I found last year in a destroyed complex the north polar region. The engineers at the Clan of Teks community had some trouble at first duplicating the aetheric energy collection system, but they eventually made a go of it, this is the result.

This was a toy gun purchased at a local factory seconds retailer for 8 dollars.
I forgot to take pre-photos or WIP photos on this one, but I will hopefully be making another one of these so stay tuned if your interested in what it looked like before I started. Basically though it was flat gray with bright orange highlights before I started.
This one was done with Spray Paint, two different colors. After priming I base coated with shiny brass, then I sprayed Bronze over the top of that, and wiped the bronze off with a t-shirt to try to make the shiny show through (while leaving the bronze in the recesses). That didn't work as hoped. So I worked in some brushed on shiny brass highlights and some brown and black ink washes to make the weathering stand out more.
There was a problem in the re-assembly, some of the electronics didn't work any more after I soldered the battery leads back in. Some how one o the micro circuits in the center bubble's electronics package burned out. So the center bubble is empty right now until I figure out something new to put in it.
