Description
This is my first meme here on DeviantArt. Since I can't draw good, I used image captures from the anime. Now I shall describe why I like each Pokemon from each Generation.
Update 2023: Since the only template for this that is updated for Gen IX has six slots instead of four, I now had to add two more to each generation. Some of the images are not from the main series anime or movies since they haven't appeared in it yet, but I hope to update them with ones like that in the near future.
Generation I (Kanto):
1. Eevee - My favorite animal is foxes (which you hear me say a lot, and Eevee certainly has traits that make it look like that. All for the perfect comfort character
2. Mew - Sometimes Mew doesn't look quite right when you look at it from some angles, but when it does, it's irresistibly adorable.
3. Vulpix - It's another fox, and I'm destined to love it.
4. Farfetch'd - Its name and the fact it always carries a leek make them more unique aside from other bird Pokemon.
5. Flareon - Of all the Eeveelutions, it's the one that still resembles Eevee itself. It may not be my favorite of the bunch, but who can resist the fluffiness?
6. Growltihe - It's a good pupper that makes for a great companion.
Generation II (Johto):
1. Espeon - For a long time it had been my favorite Eeveelution. It's loyal, beautiful, and adorable.
2. Furret - Who wouldn't want to cuddle with these little cuties? It's like a living scarf.
3. Cyndaquil - Before Gen V, this was the only starter that I really loved, because I just can't get enough of that face and voice.
4. Chinchou - What makes Chinchou adorable is its eyes matched with it's smile, though I wish the games were able to show its ability to walk on land like in the anime.
5. Quilava - There are only a handful of evolved starters that I like as much as their base form, and this is one of them. It still manages to have a cute factor that many other don't.
6. Sneasel - It may be crafty, but if Truegreen7 says it could be a candidate to be a replacement mascot then there's certainly just enough cute among the darkness.
Generation III (Hoenn):
1. & 2. - Plusle and Minun - These two are equal in the amount of joy they bring to me, though of course I can't count them as just one.
3. Mighyena - Most people misjudge this Pokemon as fierce, but it's completely loyal to those it trusts...and sometimes affectionate as well. Also it looks awesome
5. Mawile - If you look past the jaw on its head, you'll see a truly adorable face.
6. Latias - It was my favorite legendary for a long while mostly because of the 5th movie; btw I'm an Altoshipper all the way.
Generation IV (Sinnoh):
1. Riolu - God these things are just too adorable to resist. It is another one that ranks up there as being a comfort character.
2. Glaceon - While Espeon was my favorite Eevelution for a long while, this one managed to rank up and beat it after a good while it came out.
3. Azelf - Mew may be the cutest mythical, but Azelf is the cutest of all legendaries. It looks that way from any angle unlike Mew.
4. Pachirisu - I always say that Pikachu is overrated, so that's why I've included this cutie, who is my second favorite of the electric rodents.
5. Shaymin (Sky forme) - Skymin is easily much better than its other form because it's more cool and playful in that form while still being adorable.
6. Roserade - Its design is among the most elegant to me; I like it mostly because of its cape.
Generation V (Unova):
1. Emolga - This is the cutest of all the electric rodents, and that face is the perfect proof.
2. Zorua - Once again, I love foxes, and Zorua is surely not an exception. I just want to cuddle with one every time I see one.
3. Snivy - Even though my love for it originally came from the Smugleaf meme, I found that this one has so much adorability and coolness all at once and it steals my heart every time I see one.
4. Mienfoo - First time I saw one I thought to myself that this is the Riolu of Gen V (though Zorua most likely is actually) and so I just had to fall in love with it.
5. Minccino - It may not be one of the electric rodents, but it does have the cuteness factor of several of them.
6. Whimsicott - It's a fluffy ball enveloping a happy little body, that's good enough for me.
Generation VI (Kalos):
1. Fennekin: They actually made a starter out of a fox, a fennec to boot, and made my day the time it was revealed. I want to cherish one if they were ever real.
2. Sylveon: This was the Eevelution I matched up with in a personality test, and as long as it's male, then I would approve of having one of these. They are so sweet after all.
3. Chespin: It always looks so optimistic, and I can't resist smiling faces like the one it has.
4. Meowstic (male): I like only the male one here, mainly because it looks the most innocent compared to the female, and most cat Pokémon are often seen as female.
5. Helioptile: It's often portrayed as being timid, which I have a weakness for. I just love a shy little lizard like this one.
6. Phantump: Its story may be tragic, but with that face I believe it can be befriended easily.
Generation VII (Alola):
1. Alolan Vulpix: Just when I thought Vulpix couldn't get more adorable, the made this. I want one so badly
2. Litten: While it's mostly seen as looking very serious, its happy face is so cute and I want to just cuddle with it.
3. Rockruff: The cutest rock type for sure, who doesn't want to cuddle with one (though it probably wouldn't feel comfortable)
4. Poipole: I never thought there would be an adorable UB like this. Though who came up with its name, Bugs Bunny?
5. Popplio: Sea lions are cute, I always thought so since first grade. This one just looks like it's always having fun.
6. Lurantis: A graceful design for sure, though weird it doesn't have a mouth.
Generation VIII (Galar & Hisui)
1. Nickit: Another fox Pokemon was created here; I'll gladly let this cute little bandit take my food anyday.
2. Hisuian Zorua: They made a new form of one of my all time favorites; despite its nature, I believe all it needs is a hug and I will gladly give it plenty.
3. Sirfetch'd: One of the most overlooked Pokemon of Gen I gets a regional form and a new evolution that looks cool and is a real powerhouse as well.
4. Sobble: This little cinnamon roll deserves all the love and affection in the world; the only tears it should shed are tears of joy.
5. Scorbunny: It has a certain proudness that I like in some other Pokémon, not to mention it looks really playful.
6. Drakloak: Always carrying a Dreepy on its back just makes it precious. I didn't think a mid-stage Pseudo-legendary would ever appeal to me as much as it does.
Generation IX (Paldea)
1. Sprigatito - It's a little happy kitten that wants to be your friend, need I say more?
2. Chien-Pao - If it's a all-powerful entity that's made of hatred, then why is it also so adorable?
3. Pawmi - The first electric rodent since the Pikachu line than can evlove, though I like the first stage the best since it's the most huggable.
4. Grafaiai - There's just something about it appeals to me immensely with this one. I guess I just didn't expect a poisonous monkey to be as cute as it is.
5. Tatsugiri - The fact it's small yet you encounter it late in the game as a strong Pokemon caught my interest. Its intelligence also intrigues me.
6. Gimmighoul - With a little body and face like that, I'll gladly give it any coins it needs.
