Numbness has its icy hands
Strangling her heart;
It struggles, but it cannot break free...
...she is not as over you as she would like to be.
Your touch lingers on my skin
Like a toxic perfume.
Memories of your kiss permeate my mind
With their sickly-sweet scent.
In her mind your arms come around her,
Like the lover you used to be,
And your ghostly memory gives her
A goodnight kiss.
