Rarity: Fabulosity

A wallpaper featuring Rarity, the child of generosity, from the hit TV series My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

Finally, I've got every main character completed. I put off Rarity for the longest because I couldn't do her hair (if you've read my journal, you'll know why). When I finally got that fixed, I did Celestia and Rarity, the 2 hardest ponies to vector, back to back. What a mistake.

While designing the Rarity wallpaper, I actually had an idea while vectoring her (live). It was going to be a flashy and white-based piece with fancy stuff about. However, when I got done vectoring her and put her on the canvas, not much came to mind. I did her name in 3D in electric purple and put it down. Brain dead minutes flew by and I took her tail, exported it at 10k and angled it in the background. The piece stayed like that for a good hour or so, still live streaming the slow-going action. I thought of an old floral vector I did a while back and stuck that in there to fill up a little more space. The glow wasn't quite working out as intended, so what you see is what I left it as. I angled Rarity's name to match the flotail and once again, braindead. I did another 3D-spline (this time cubic-based, not bezier) and formed it into a cool little spiral (which was intended to be viewed from above). I put a glow and luminescent material on it, rendered it out at full resolution and stuck it in the corner. Nothing happened for another good hour, when I was finally told that it looks complete. Well here I am.

With all of the main characters complete, I can finally call this series complete. However, I might redo Fluttershy into 2560x1600, and do a full redux of Rainbow dash since her's is a bit... old.

Also remember in my first journal I said I was most similar to Rarity? Well, I just barely thought of it. I did everyone else's wallpaper's before I even did my own. HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?!!?

In terms of complexity, this has gone backwards but suddenly upwards. It has the simplicity of Pinkie Pie's Simple Joy piece, but takes some flash from Twilight Sparkle's Energy wallpaper. You can't spell Complex without Lex.
