:blackrose: The Millennium Contest :blackrose: - :trophy: Winners visual entries :trophy:

:blackrose: The first place goes to: kunehoGod (formerly lunarprime) Her eye for detail is what has earned her first place:
millennium by lunarprime
 She also made another wonderful entry:
gift for emily.. by lunarprime

:blackrose: The second place goes to (and my, this was a hard one to pick): Huuni  Again I was persuaded by all the details (the black and white tiles, the church) but also the fact that Sordes was drawn 100% correctly

:blackrose: Then the third place... I had such a hard time over this one and was close to tearing out my hair, so I decided to make it a shared spot :meow: Because sharing it with 3 works would have been too much, I narrowed it down to 2... Ah fuck... 3 spots it is then >_< I can't pick T_T (next time, I'm doing votes!)
:bulletblack: Nairim-dA I just love the expressions so much and the details <3 the blade is perfect :la: )
Millennium contest by Nairim-dA
:bulletblack: FrozenBlueberry Such innocence and happiness, a perfect depiction of the scene <3 (again, details like the flower and grass stains :la:)
Aislinn - Millennium Contest by FrozenBlueberry
:bulletblack: Orion-M-42 I just love how the "change" from demon to human form is depicted :)
.:MillenniumEntry:. by Orion-M-42

They all won premium memberships or an equal amount of points: 9 months, 6 months, 3 months.

I also like to thank all the other participants for all their wonderful entries, as picking the winners was a true headache ^^; I hope you will participate again in future contests :woohoo:

:blackrose: The Millennium Contest :blackrose: - :trophy: Special :trophy:

BoekBindBoetiek made something very special for the contest:
Millennium -home-print- book by BoekBindBoetiek
As this is the most awesome thing I've ever seen she has won herself a very special prize :la: Also, as she lives in the Netherlands too she came by a few days ago to hand the book to me
Thank you again my dear for this wonderful gift! :tighthug:

:blackrose: The Millennium Contest :blackrose:

:new: The visual part of the contest has now ended; the literary part will be open until the end of the year.

:blackrose: Rules:
:bulletred: And please, PLEASE read them all! I don't like declining entries because the deviation isn't following the rules; if you're in doubt: ASK :dummy:

:bulletblack: Art must be in a written form (either short story, poem, or whatever you can think of).

:bulletblack: The artwork must feature at least one of the Millennium characters. You are allowed to combine them with your own OC if that's what you like.

:bulletblack: The contest entry must be made for this contest. So no (old) commissions done for me or previously made gifts qualify, sorry...

:bulletblack: Mature content is allowed <3 just make sure you give it the necessary warnings.

:bulletblack: You are allowed 3 entries, though you can only claim one winning spot.

:bulletblack: If you have any questions about a character or a situation in the story, don't be afraid to ask :)

:bulletblack: I also preserve the right to edit the rules when it turns out some stuff is not clear. Prizes will not decrease, however I might decide to increase them if I get a lot of participants.</i>

:blackrose: Start date: 25 April 2011
:blackrose: End of 2011

:trophy: Prizes: :trophy:

:bulletblack: 1st prize: 3 months premium membership
:bulletblack: 2nd prize: 250 :points:
:bulletblack: 3rd prize: 100 :points:
For those that don't want premium, I will give an equal amount of points instead.

:blackrose: Also all works will be featured in a special favourites folder, which will get its own widget on my front page.

:blackrose: As there aren't that many literature entries, only the best story will get a premium. If however more people enter, I'll raise the prizes :la:

:blackrose: Millennium ~ Teaser :blackrose:

Shocked, she stood still, "It's the same hallway..." She turned around. In the distance a weird noise was approaching. Her face twisted between fear and annoyance, and she turned around again. She knew she had to run, but where to? The sound got louder and she figured she could worry about where to go whist running.
She took a few different ways and then there it was... She came to a full stop and looked at the hole. The hallway was a dead end. Knowing now that she had to move the laundry, she quickly climbed up, crawled down the passage and landed softly.
While trying to ignore her fear, she started to move the laundry. Still, she turned around every few seconds to look at the hole. Then she saw it, an iron hatch. She jerked up, hurried towards the passage and closed the hatch. The iron bars were close together, the creature would get, if lucky, one finger through it.
Whilst busy with the lock she heard breathing above her. "It's coming!" her mind flashed in bright neon letters. Trying even harder to close the lock, she panicked.
A click was heard from the lock only a few seconds before a "thoink" was heard from behind the hatch, followed by curse like sounds. Panting, she took a step back. Dark blue eyes met hers. The creature moved in an attempt to get more space before it tried to open the door. After a few seconds it started to scream at her in a weird language. Aislinn backed up against the wall and sat down on the laundry. She tried to calm down, reassuring herself that the creature was stuck; the passage was too tight to turn.

...

She finally saw the blue and black tiles of the floor and stood up. She already had the door handle in her hand, when she noticed the sound of the blade against iron was replaced by breathing in her neck. Her eyes widened in shock and all the hairs over her body stood erect.
"Now didn't I ask you nicely to open the door?" Titanio said.
Aislinn felt paralysed. The demon placed one hand around her waist and his head next to hers. Titanio breathed heavily in her ear and with his other hand he held the blade in front of her face...
