Phantom screams
in the air
who are they from
I just don't care
Maybe from the women who died tonight?
her throat cut open
to spill her life
or maybe the man who cut in line
he died in an alleyway at nine

So many voices

No more phantom screams
They call at night

Whining and groaning to a pitiless man
