Backstory:
When Zaaj was in his mid-teens, he and his siblings escaped an attack from Kanto, while his parents did not. After this event Zaaj became mentally unstable, and was cared for by his younger sister, while his older brother went into the front lines. Years passed without word of his brother, until he and his sister got the black letter, sending Zaaj into more of a downward spiral. He always looked up to his older brother, who was courageous and stood his ground. Zaaj's mindframe steadily decreased over the years when he enlisted into the Johto Army, viewing many horrors of the battlefield. Being one of the youngest soldiers, he was kept in check by the Army General, Frank Johansson, who, while not showing it, felt the boy had suffered enough.
Unfortunately, Zaaj's mentality never got better, he slowly gained an extreme pleasure from the torture of others, and was promoted the role of Military Police, which he uses to great effect aquiring information from enemy and friend.

Those around him feel unbit uneasy, he makes a lot of people uncomfortable and has the habit of talking to himself, alot of the time, full conversations.

While Zaaj is not overlly fond of the monsters known as Pokemon, he uses them to great effect, and chose the ones he did specifically for the use of torture and information gaining. To him, they are nothing but tools of War, and he treats them with little respect.


Combat: When Zaaj joined at 16, due to the lack of guns, he started training in close quaters combat, and becaome quite proficiant. Later on in years he started training in weaponised combat, mainly swords. After his Eevee evolved into Espeon, he started thinking of ways to use it to augment his own abilities, such as jumping higher, soft landings, aerial spins, and his most famous ability to seemingly use his swords psychally.
Something Zaaj often does during combat, is avoid attacks first, and attacks second, and very very rarely rushes into battle. Dodge and Counter is his main tactics.
However, Zaaj often lets his sadistic side get the better of him when in battle, often going a bit too far, and getting disapproaving looks from his superiors.

Pokemon:

Elfie | Espeon | Modest Nature | Magic Bounce | Female:
Elfie was Zaaj's first, and is his most used Pokemon. Zaaj keeps her out of the pokeball, and uses her to display his feux psychic abilities.

Raikov | Elekid | Hardy Nature | Static | Male:
Raikov is used most often when Zaaj wishes to torture his victims. Raikov has learned from Zaaj the slow way of hurting others, and often drags out thier torture sessions, which both Zaaj and Raikov get a sadistic pleasure from.

Iroquois | Seviper | Adamant Nature | Infiltrator | Male:
Iroquois is also used in torture, and has a differant style of doing so. His appearance is quite intimidating, and his fast acting poison makes many victims die before the information is extracted, much to Zaaj's displeasure.
