Northwood's Alexander the Great at ~NykiaHorse-Stable's Breast Cancer Awareness minicontest

A loud bang sounded from inside the trailer as Jenny and Eli got out of the truck. Both looked very confused, Rum never acted like that. He usually was so calm, and had never been known to kick or rear. No one had ever ridden the giant horse, but they had lead him around countless times, and his personality would never hint to the fact that he was a stallion. However, he was certainly acting like it at the moment.
Another solid kick at the wall made the now parked trailer and truck shake backwards.
"I wonder what's wrong with him...." Eli seemed to be wondering aloud, but Jenny knew him better. For a stable owner who had jumped olympic height jumps before, he was definitely a very lazy man. So with a heavy sigh, she opened the door of their rented truck and hoped to god that Rum had not ruined the trailer they had rented as well. They were both exhausted, and rather annoyed that they could not have brought any other horses. But since none of their other horses were well behaved enough for a halter show, they had to bring Rum. And besides, it was nice to have a calm horse in the trailer instead of their usual crazy ones.
Jenny finally reached the back of the tuck and the front of the trailer, and quickly opened the door. What she saw surprised her and she quickly moved up to Rum's head. The poor horse had gotten his teeth stuck in the hay net they had gotten for him. It explained his irritable attitude, and he looked at her rather annoyed as the hay net pulled on his mouth. Quickly grabbing Rum's muzzle, Jenny lifted up and pulled the top part of his muzzle away from his lip. The giant horse tried pulling away, not understanding that she was just trying to help him. But she knew how to handle horses, she had her whole life. So with new determination, she pushed Rum's mouth open and pulled the hay net out of his teeth. The bag fell, and Jenny reached up between's Rums ears and scratched his head.
"Sorry boy, last time we use rope hay nets I promise." She was rewarded for her kindness by Rum sneezing on her. She raised an eye brow, and gave Rum a slightly annoyed, slightly amused look. "Gee thanks for that boy." He just looked at her then made a small noise, and if she did not know better, she would have said hat he was laughing at her.

"Now for the halter show at the competition this after noon. Please enter Northwood's Alexander the Great, being led by Jennifer Truman of Northwood Stables." Almost all of the competitors looked up at the sound of Rum's hooves pounding confidently on the sand. The great stallion snorted heavily, and pulled his head in, moving completely in frame with out any assistance from his handler. Rum had been classically trained in dressage at his home in england before he came to the United States and Northwood Stables. He was a great dressage horse, but hated being ridden, so mostly, the team just used him to sire great dressage and eventing horses. So far they only had one foal from him, but planned on getting more.
The great stallion snorted once again, and was led around the ring by Eli, the only one at Northwood able to keep up with his gates. Jenny watched from the sidelines, and couldn't help but giggle at her handiwork. Pink ribbons decorated Rum's bridle, main and tail. It was a breast cancer awareness show, so of course he had pink on, but he was one of the few stallions at the show that day, and was decorated in more pink than any other horse in the ring.
